I was playing with the meter and vmax today and the vmax when screwed onto a capacitive load while turned on, fires continuosly and locks up till the battery is removed. i think its on full power, not checked yet..
this of course frys the atty which was my ego C at the time.

been used for a week or so, it was working ok but tasted like utter crap after this happened so I thought I would dry burn on the provari and left the meter attached.
this atty has always measured 2.2ohm .. immediately after this nuking .. it dropped to 1.64ohm, this is why I figured it needed some attention..

rinsed with water and dry burned .. it dropped from 1.64 down to 1.55 ohms .. i got heaps of smoke out, it crept up to 1.6 or so.. no matter how long i burnt it for, it wasnt going anywhere. it dropped to 1.45ohm at one point..
decided the top had to come off, pulled top and cooked the black wick in the gas ..

put atty with no top on back in atty holder .. did a 2 second dry burn and it came up with 2.2ohm ..
put top back on .. still 2.2ohm.

so i found it interesting that the top pretty much had to come off to burn out the crud, i assume thats what happened, whether the little wick holds the deposits in there or is it itself conductive with the gunk on, i am not sure.

Funny you mention that, I had a Smoktech LR 510 bridgless atomiser thaat was coming at 1.7 Ohms from memory. Anyway, I dry burned and it was coming in somewhere around the 1.2-1.3 Ohm mark. I rinsed it through with water, did another dry burn and now it comes in at a solid 4.1 Ohms. I've played around with it and nothing changes.

It works okay, it's just a bit lacking due to the higher resistance.
