Hi People I have committed sacrilege. Over the last few months a few dead jibs have come into my possession. Dead buttons, dead batteries, broken wires, dead led’s. Getting into the housings without damage is not the easiest job. The woodies are the worst. I have found a way to get into the woodies, but its not idiot proof, and damage can occur. A couple of the bottom feeders in the aluminum housing, I decided to re-house in stainless steel. I don’t have any use for bottom feeders, so they were reconfigured to a regular PV, with all the benefits of the JIB. To be honest its difficult to improve on perfection, but when repairs are needed, they are not user friendly. The re-housing included, battery upgrade from 18500, to 18650. More robust firing button, Heavy duty wiring, and the ability to open the case for repairs. Not everybody’s cup of tea, but for me an improvement as regards to aesthetics. My preference is for woodies, in any shape or form and the wooden case jibs, have been repaired and remain as built, but with new batteries and upgraded buttons. The alloy ones were the bottom feeders that have been re-housed in stainless as the images. If anybody is looking for a couple of the original JIB case’s they are yours for the postage.
Looks good rob. Pulled my oled apart the other day hooked it up to a battery and nothing I think juice must of killed it.
Its all good. Dont have to coerce kids into giving me black jelly beans anymore. Found that Crazy Clarks sell them by the bag!!
Don't think I could part with my $140 dollar spare just yet. Maybe jib might resurrect himself one day.
