Recycled Zipo

Good evening folks

As we are all no longer smoke and have all converted to a higher plane, I am sure we all have redundant cigarette lighters that are just itching to be put to some use?

This is my effort. Its not what I originally intended, but reasonably close. As I never received my order from Dealextreem, I decided to muddle along with what I already had. The big black firing switch was intended to be a touch switch, and the battery connection required a little Southern engineering to make it useful. It should have had three 10430 batteries. Due to the increased size of the switch gear I could only fit two, but there is room for a charger, when I get the parts. The connection is Ego so anything 510 will work.

I purposely didn’t include a picture of the wiring as its pretty ratty and the purists would give me hell!!!

 

That is, in my opinion, absolutely the dogs bollocks!

I had never intended to make a mod, although I've the skills (damn rusty, but I remember enough and have the tools) ... but that damn well inspires the shit out of me to make one.

Battery's in parallel. Touch circuit and VV boards never arrived and I got bored!! Its very basic but vapes like a champ with Vision stuff.

 

Woot! I've been waiting on someone to use a good old zippo. Got quite a collection of them here, but don't possess the nouse to make a mod. Well done!

 

Thanks for that AG. I have the attention span of a squashed frog and couldn't be bothered waiting for the parts I ordered. In reality it probably will never get finished to the standard I envisaged, but it does have potential. The basic one is very easy, but the lack of space makes a meaningful mod difficult. Glad you like it.

 

I'm sure you'll eventually get it how you want it if you keep fiddling.
I have always had a thing for zippos. I've got all my dad's old army issue ones here and I treasure them.

 

Yes I used to like Zippos. They have character. You don't need to be modding your dads old stuff anyway. Plenty of Zippo ripoffs doing the rounds, as is the one I did!!!

 

Looks awesome Rob well done and a great idea, I've got plenty of lighters laying around myself but I'm too tarded to make a mod.
