I have a JiB woodie. The button has slowly required me to use more and more pressure, it's now at a point where it's basically stuffed. I don't know what to do since JiB seems to be busy with work. I'm assuming you don't just pop out the button and put a new one in its place.

Is anyone 100% sure they could easily do this for me quickly? If so could you give me a quote I guess?

    Hi Quom

At the moment there are a couple of JIB's heading my way, both with dead firing buttons. The way things are looking I will be back at work before they arrive. Until they arrive and I can look them over, I will not be 100% sure of the repair procedure. Based on the last one I resurrected, I would say the switch can be replaced for around $25 dollars. When you take into account two way shipping costs, its not going to be that cost effective? Your best bet is to buy a cheap'y eGo to keep you up and running untill JiB is back in circulation. If you are still stuck and out of options in four or five weeks, bump this thread and I will be happy to take a look???

Thanks for being the bearer of bad news!!!! The last one I looked at was a woodie, with a case mounted tac switch, wired to the board? Running good now, but I guess there were a few "improvements along the line?? Problem is the woodies are very well sealed and getting into them is an issue for sure!!!
