DNA 12

DNA lets anyone build Evolv’s revolutionary power regulated technology into their own products. It is a digital 12 watt adjustable power regulator. It features controlled power from 5 to 12 watts, runs from a single lithium cell and includes protective features such as overcurrent, over and undervoltage protection and a thermal shutdown. Power levels are set with a simple external potentiometer, and transistor based switching means the mod designer no longer has to use the same expensive, clunky, high current waterproof switches as everyone else. Two DNA boards can be combined into a Double Helix for running dual coil attomizers at up to 24 watts. DNA also includes an input for an accessory charger (coming May 2012).

Yep, I just ordered one yesterday.

You can actually add 3+ boards together, but you wouldn't really need it. That would be 36W+! Future releases of the DNA 12 will include the ability to directly install an LCD.

Very much indeed! Hoping it doesn't take too long. I didn't like the sound of $1.50 shipping, but it's so small I'm assuming it will just be in a letter envelope which should arrive quite quickly.

I know my way around a PCB but it's been a while since I've played with electronics.

I'm hoping to use a digital pot, and setup a menu similar to the provari, but with three buttons.
Just waiting for others to receive their's around the world so I can get some hints.

arrived this arvo, man it's small

 

Hopefully mine will come Monday then! I had a look at the dimension and then me.comred them out on a piece of paper. It does look to be very small!

I got mine last Tuesday and it really is small!

I've got a bunch of modding bits and pieces coming this week with any luck.

I'm initially going to make a plastic box mod out of it while I make up a wood box mod.

I'm thinking jarrah will be nice with a recessed 510 connection for the Line.
