Turning things into mods

Firstly, I don't know enough about electronics to build my own.
I was looking at my electric toothbrush thinking this could make a great mod. The button's in the right place. It's stylish with rubberised grip. where the brush head connects is about the size of a connecter. It's waterproof. and if the charging system can be used it has a charger/stand.

Also a star wars lightsaber toy would be boobs awesome and there's plenty of cheap knock off ones around.

Any other ideas, or pics of ones people have made feel free to add them.

 

I saw pbusardo made some atari 2600 joystick mods once, Shanb makes an NES controller passthrough, I also saw earlier someone is making mods out of energy drink cans that have a "straw" to puff from. The fat horn switch on the side of the can sort of gives it away though.

I've got a few ideas of mods I'd like to see/make someday once I absorb enough knowledge to do it. Soldering practise is happening very soon! I even found instructions on surface mounting, you'd need a practised hand for that I am sure.

I know Dr Who fans would swarm over a sonic screwdriver mod! lol Just look how perfect this would be for a mod:

Ha. That's great ccc. While it looks like it would be a stylish mod. It's questionable whether you'd want it near your mouth.

 

I reckon one of these would make a tidy little unit

I've heard of people building mods out of Altoids tins... I don't think it's safe and would advise people against doing so.
