Just curious if anyone knows about this ingredient?
Or, where one could source it from?

    Also, known as -
    Pentylene glycol
    Pentamethylene glycol
    1,5-Dihydroxypentane

It's common in commercial e juice.

1,5-Pentanediol - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia ( Unaware of the accuracy here)

    Cheers

Pretty sure it's used in quite a bit of b.comty products, think it is a synthetic humectant that works like a solvent and/or preservative and has antimicrobial properties. It's also most widely used in brake fluid if I recall correctly.

I think you have a spelling error on Pentamethylene glycol, did you mean Pentaethylene glycol?

Are you by some chance wondering about what some people refer to as PEG 400 (polyethylene glycol)?

I may be confused lol, been Googling now and have lost myself in chemicals. I can't seem to find any information of Pentamethylene glycol use in e liquid though.

Can I ask where you saw that this chemical was used as a PG substitute? Or a reference of it being used in eliquid.

Arth, could it be PEG which some companies used a while back instead of PG? Polyethyline glycol I think?
