Hey guys, I've gotten comfortable with coil building and now looking to move forward and try my hand at some DIY juices. My first step is trying to determine where in.coms I can find the highest quality VG and PG. I see the bulk thread is just there but I'm not really after bulk at the minute. I'm also not looking to bring any nic into the mix just yet and will look into a good source for that later.

I generally get my pg, VG from house of vape and I seem to be getting a really dense vapor compared to some imports. Good price too.

I have no idea I'm sorry, but I would like to know how we determine the difference in the quality. I would assume once it's at a food/pharmaceutical grade that it would be a quality product, though I digress I don't know.

But I would hope it of a high enough grade to be fit for the purpose of consumption / e juice once it's at this level.

I myself also have no idea how it would be determined, but I thought I'd check first and just saw something about cockroach legs in someones bottle, whether it's a one off or not there's obviously varying levels of QC somewhere along the line. I'm happy with the HOV suggestion though, really good shop in my experience.

Yeah I read the same bit, but it doesn't seem to be a issue that has repeated since. From what I have been reading USP/BP/EP is about as high a grade you can get which is just different countries pharmaceutical grade standards. EG: BP is British pharma, USP would be United States pharma etc. I think for it to be this level it has to be 99.5% pure or better so pretty much as clean as it gets in general.

If it's ID or Cos grades I'd walk away as I think that means Industrial or cosmetic and they can be much lower. I'm not sure but I have a feeling there is also food grade and agricultural, but if it was me I'd stick with the most pure pharma grades but each to their own I guess lol.

I must admit when smoking I never worried myself about the quality, just the taste/brand I liked. It's strange how we go from puffing on the crap in a smoke but we worry about the fairly safe 4 to 9 things that make up our e juice. Not knocking anyone here on that, I'm in that boat myself lol, I even go organic with my cotton.

The HIGHEST QUALITY PG and VG would be from paying your chemist and asking him to order in some David Craig Galenicals PG or VG ... this is the only stuff that comes in 500 ml BP sealed from the chemical manufacturer and as such is certified pharmaceutical grade in your hands ... but you shall pay for the privilege $25 - 35 per 500ml bottle

Pretty much everything else you buy is decanted quantities from bulk from whoever you buy it off ... That said I have had various batches from any of our major vape shops ( HoV, TVS, Juicewhore, VK , Steamers, and a few others over the years ) and they are all much of a muchness and good to go :) The minute however it is decanted and put into shop bottles it is no longer BP, or USP ... it is food grade

The David Craig is a tad sweeter and smoother IMO tho

But as long as you buy from a trusted source like the companies above you will be right :)
Just putting it out there if you want a guarantee of untampered with quality

Quality for our purpose is having the lowest amount of impurities AND the best taste. For instance, the .comlding brand Glycerol is BP quality but doesn't taste the best vaping it. Yes, I know it's not VG but it is equivalent chemically.

Edit: And Fatz nails it :)

Thanks guys, I'll look into grabbing some of the david craig as well as the vape shop stuff for practical comparison, but I like the idea of the higher quality guarantee with the DC. Not long ago at all I was spending $25 a day on smokes so the price doesn't phase me one bit, happy to reinvest the lot for the time being :tears_of_joy:

Yep, I just placed an order with eBotaniq myself as well. Can't comment on quality yet but I'm sure it will be fine. Very good pricing and helpful people.

Available at your local healthfood store.

    Who needs PG really.
And when you run out you can use the amber bottles for storing your 100mg

Vape King VG and vapoureyes VG is exactly the same in my eyes and taste and both perfect , I prefer Vapoureyes these days as the have a better nozzle and easier to add to your smaller bottles , plus free delivery over $50 works for me
