    So when I first started to vape, I bought nic juice in the same mg strength as my stinkies used to be - quite a bit of juice.
    And as many do I soon found i needed higher nic, so the really low nic has just sat there until now... (cant sell it, hate to chuck it out)

    So seeing as i have a bunch of 100mg Nic sitting here I was thinking I can add to the juice...

    Questions:
    Can I? or is there a reason this is a bad idea?
    And Steeping - will it need to steep again?

    Thanks!

    1. Yes, and
    2. No (just slightly weaker flavour)
    3. Probably not.

    I'm asking the same question in another thread.
    I need someone to tell me how much to add, I can't work it out for myself.

    Well I was thinking for a 30ml bottle starting @ say 3mg.

    So 1 ml of 100mg Nic added to 10 Ml of juice would result in something a tad under 13mg
    So 3 ml of 100mg in a 30ml bottle of would end up at ~13mg(ish)
    4.5ml added would be around ~18mg(ish)
    or 3.75ml would be around 15.5mg(ish) which is the ball park i am looking for.

    So in your example of 9 to 18mg....
    1ml of 100mg Nic to every 10ml of juice (so 12 ml) would give you a hair under 19mg and a bottle of 132mls.....

    I think.
    (Using my head on this - prone to failure!)

    Is that close enough?

    This is gt's formula looked at in what seems a logical way to me. It will probably makes people's eyes glaze over, but I'll press 'Post' anyway :D

    Assume you start off with 30ml @ 3mg/ml and you're aiming at 16mg/ml. You want to add X ml of nic @ 100mg/ml to end up with (30 + X)ml @ 16mg/ml.

    (30ml @ 3mg/ml) + (Xml @ 100mg/ml) = (30 + X)ml @ 16mg/ml

    (30 * 3) + (X *100) = (30 + X) * 16
    90 + 100X = (30 * 16) + (16 * X)
    90 + 100X = 480 + 16X
    100X - 16X = 480 - 90
    84X = 390
    X = 390 / 84
    X = 4.64 ml of 100mg/ml nic to be added

    You can double-check the calculations using the 'combine nic' option in eJuiceMeUp or:

    30ml @ 3mg/ml contains 30 * 3 = 90 mg of nicotine
    4.64ml @ 100mg/ml contains 4.64 * 100 = 464 mg of nicotine

    So, altogether you will have (90 + 464) = 554 mg of nicotine in 34.64ml of liquid. That's 554/34.64 = 15.99 mg per ml

    That's exactly how I derived the formula ;)

    Oh lordy, not only did my eyes glaze over my brain had a seizure, completely shut down and now I have a migraine from stupidly trying to understand that :confusion:

    No surprises that maths was my absolute worst subject at school :dispirited:

    think i'll stick to using ejuice calculators
