Experience with tobacco absolute

Hey guys, im going to be working on my next flavour soon to accompany a starter kit for my cousin whos shown interest in vaping. Just wondering what peoples experiences are in using this concentrate? Ill be trying to create a captain black cigar flavour.
Alternatively, if someones tried a readily made flavour of what im looking for id love to know where i could get it. Any advice or experience is much appreciated!

 

Im pretty sure I have an absolute concentrate, its like marmite, bought it 2yrs ago an I can tell ya, one pin head size lump treats 30ml easily. Its a 5ml bottle that just never ends. Pretty sure its not allowed to be imported in bulk as it had a small % of nic in it...minute, but enough for the govt twats to kick up over. Its very pungent but mixed l8ghtly with warm pg and EM its pretty dam good

 

Thanks for your input stomp! I was only planning to use at 1% per advice found elsewhere but you make it sound as if even thats too much :/ Im hoping it brings a punch with everything else i plan to mix. Do you recall where you got yours by any chance? Was planning on JF's own one but would rather purchase somewhere thats 'tried and true' if you know what i mean.

 

Yeah, I can't find the proper stuff anywhere. I got mine from Vaping Cobra, and after his visit by the Health Dept it disappeared off the site.

The JF is a super concentrate ... different stuff to what Stomp is referring to.

 

Stomp must have the extra concentrated stuff. I have some Perfumers Apprentice Tobacco Absolute I got from E-cig SA which unfortunately has closed. It's still strong stuff though. 2-3 drops in 10ml works well. Gives it that grassy rough ciggy taste....

 

It depends , there is True Tobacco Absolute ( like Stomps one which is almost tarry in texture but also very hard to come by) and literally a "little dab will do ya " and there are the diluted forms from PA etc that are True TA dissolved in an alcohol base which is used like any other concentrate or super-concentrate depending on the mix .

Its most likely you will get the solution version and you should start about 0.5%-1% and work up

Again, thanks for the input guys glad i have helpful members from AVF in times like these - my question got largely ignored in smaller communities for reasons which are quite deductive GT, this is what i read somewhere (although cant recall, hours of internet sleuthing), that it was suddenly pulled down from what was a main source for a lot of vapers due to BT involvement. Shame really. I suppose i will get a few concentrates and try them out at the % recommended which sound pretty much the same anyway lol

Wow, thats quite the price hike compared to a few other US stores iv found. Any reason for it? QC, concentration etc?

 

That's right JD...just a little watered down from what I have. I mix it according to colour, just so its turned to a faint faint yellow. Its hard to get right but when you do its the most b.comtiful floral tobacco. Not a good friend to yr coils but hell...worth it I reckon. I probably do a 30ml mix each month..I give a bit away, I vape a bit..guve it a try mate.

 

If its really a 50% dilution , its excellent value for $$$$ .... it wouldnt hurt to try it I would think ?
I have 10ml of real absolute in my fridge that will last me a lifetime lol .... be.comse I dont smell stuff TA is something that I can taste

 

It looks like the TA I have ... you have to shake it vigorously before using to combine the alcohol with the oily base. I also have the SC which is more like any other concentrate.

 

Fantastic! Well i just did a bit more lookin and found that that site does actually ship internationally. Very excited to make this order come pay day this week be.comse it sounds like exactly what i need for my captain black mix. Not that it sounds like you guys will need anymore soon but ill resurrect this thread with the results. So shake vigorously, and - if stomp was using one drop with what i assumes 100% - use two drops? :biggrin-new:

 

Mine came in one of the smaller necked dripper bottles ... I used 3 drops in 30ml ... but that was the accent to my "normal" tobacco.

 

I should have mentioned i make my mixes in 10ml be.comse the math is easier and reduces the amount my kitchen sink gets to drink. What your using sounds roughly what i originally intended to mix and fairly on par with what was said earlier. I imagine myself upping it a bit to replicate the cigar sort of mouth feel but ill start with whats worked with everyone else.
