    Hi, as per title, friend wants me to adjust some 12mg nic juice to 24 mg strength nic , using 100mg concentrate. Any of you savvy people got a formula for me? or are any of the free progs apart from ejuice me up useful for this? ejuice me up doesn't look to be suited for this.

    The trick is to work it out in mg......

    E.g. If you have 10ml of 12mg, 10x12mg = 120mg of Nic.

    If you want to change it to 24mg you need to add another 120mg of Nic

    Using 100mg/ml you need 1.2 ml

    A formula :)

    x=ml to add, y=ml you have of 12mg then

    12y+100x = 24(x+y)

    ... so if you have 30ml of 12mg ie the "y"

    12*30 + 100x = 24(x + 30)
    360 + 100x = 24x + 720
    76x = 360
    x=4.74ml

    The same formula ... only different ;)

    Substituting the figures:

    x = 30*(24 - 12)/(100 - 24)
    x = 360/76
    x = 4.74ml

    At .comrie ( not GTADMIN sorrry) , I get that , and it would be close enough I think, but not totally accurate as when you add the 100 mg nic solution it is adding volume of pg carrier as well, thus effecting the overall percentage. Is that correct?

    Yep, you have to take into account the amount of ml you add. Double check:

    30ml * 12mg + 4.74ml of 100mg = 34.74 ml in total and 360+474 mg of nic (834mg) in total
    834mg / 34.74ml = 24mg/ml

    Actually I see now that e-juice me up has a little button labelled x3 to mix nicotine bass's. You can calculate 3 different bases of different strengths and vg/pg ratios.

    I still want to nut it out mentally as well though, I feel almost demented trying to do this, and to think it would have been a simple thing years ago.

    Yup, that's what I use - e-juice me up.
    And thanks GT for the formula. I run a Mac and often can't be buggered to start up & wait for Vbox ;)

    No worries ... I can't install most programs on the tablet (WinRT) so it's handy to have the formula as a piccie ;)

    So is this Juice a Pre-Mix?
    If so,you would also want to know the PG/VG ratio and if needed maintain this yes?
    What base is the 100mg/ml? PG or VG?

    Simply put,you want to add another 12mg/ml into the total volume,so that needs to be taken into account. Getting 12mg/ml from 100mg/ml is easy by shifting the decimal point back to 1.2 based on 10ml total,12 based on 100ml and so on.

    These days,if needed I find the old eJuice Recipe Calculator the simplest for cutting juice down especially if it's not all in Decimals.

    You have to remember there are 2 parts to this, mg and mls. i.e. mg per ml.

    Hope that helps!

    you might find it easier to calculate as a percentage. 100mg/ml is 10% nic.
    12mg/ml is 1.2%
    you want to change it to 2.4% or 24mg/ml

    i'm not up for doing the calculations right now, but it's just another way to think about it. (i know sometimes i need something explained several different ways before i can nut it out for myself)

    You are correct, that further complicates things, but I am not so worried about that.

    The juice I am altering for my friend is a Yaeliq , that has little/ poor flavour. It is 100 ml of 12 mg nic at 70 pg / 30 vg.
    The nic base I am adding is 100mg per ml in PG.

    I don't care so much re the final mix ratio. but I suppose I should not let it get too far on the PG side.

    It is in order to
    1. Help the friend who feels they need the stronger nic
    2. Use up an otherwise wasted 100ml of 12mg juice.

    I also intend to add some flavour concentrate or super concentrate to boost the flavour for them. It is honey tobacco, so I thought I would add some JF Tobacco absolute ( and they want menthol too), maybe toffee, vanilla, that sort of RY4 type thing to build on the faint tastes already there. It would only be a couple of ml of super- concentrate for 100mls final bottle, so wont effect the final mix ratio very much.

    add 1.2ml of nicotine per 10ml mix. For example if you have a 30ml bottle and you already have 12mg of nicotine in there then you will need to add 3.6mls (1.2 x 3) of nicotine to achieve 24mg of total nicotine level.
