a doubler has flavour but no nic - you use it to dilute nic

    ie 5 ml doubler mixed with 5ml 50mg nic = 10 ml 25mg juice

5 ml tripler mixed with 5ml 50mg nic and 5 ml straight pg or vg = 15ml of 16.7mg juice

    OK !

So its made double strong flavour with the expectation that it be used to be diluted with NO flavour. Makes perfect sense!

So if I had on shelf 100mg Nicotine ...... I would buy the singular due to fact I would only need a very slight volume of nicotine and thus not much diluting ?

    say 10ml Singular mixed with 2.5ml 100mg = 12ml 12.5mg juice ?

singler is to vape straight with no nic - if you add nic to it it will dilute the flavour and you will get weaker flavour as they are not made to be diluted

also your calculations are wrong - hard for a non maths person like me to explain

if you mixed 2.5ml of 100mg nic with 7.5 ml singler = 10ml of 25mg juice with 25% less flavour - ie you are only getting a quarter of the strenght of nic and a quarter less flavour

easiest thing is to stick to doublers or triplers when you start out

ps what strength juice do you want to end up at?

"100mg nicotine" should really be called "100mg/ml nicotine" - it means there is 100mg per ml. So 2.5 ml will contain 2.5 * 100 = 250 mg of nicotine.

If you add 2.5 ml of 100 mg/ml nic to 10 ml of singler, you are adding 250 mg of nic. So you end up with 12.5 ml of liquid containing 250 mg of nicotine. That's 250/12.5 = 20 mg/ml.

I find the easiest way is to to pre-dilute my nicotine to double-my-vaping-strength in 100ml batches. That diluted nicotine is then ready to mix with doublers.

I have 100 mg/ml nic in 100% PG, and vape at 10 mg/ml. So I pre-dilute my nicotine to 20 mg/ml, which, when mixed half-and-half with a doubler, will give me a 10 mg/ml vape. As much for simplicity as anything else, I vape at 50/50 PG/VG. Here's my logic:

    • If I want to make 100 ml of 20 mg/ml nicotine, it means that 100 ml will contain 100 * 20 = 2,000 mg of nicotine.
    • To get 2,000 mg of nicotine, I need 20 ml of my 100 mg/ml nicotine.
    • So, I measure out 20 ml of my nic. To that I add 30 ml of PG and 50 ml of VG. That gives me 100 ml of unflavoured nic at 20 mg/ml (50/50 PG/VG).
    • When I want to mix up a doubler, I just mix equal quantities of doubler and the pre-diluted nic.
If you want to vape at 12.5 mg/ml, then every 10ml will contain 125 mg of nicotine. Assuming your nic is 100% PG:

    • To make 100 ml of double-your-vaping-strength nicotine, you will need to dilute your nicotine to 25 mg/ml. 100 ml will contain 2,500 mg of nicotine.
    • To get 2,500 mg of nicotine, you need 25 ml of your 100 mg/ml nicotine.
    • So, measure out 25 ml of you nic, add 25 ml of PG and 50 ml of VG. That gives you 100 ml of unflavoured nic at 25 mg/ml.
    • Mix that half-and-half with a doubler to get to your vaping strength of 12.5 mg/ml.
So, did anyone get this far? :D I can see your glazed-over eyes from here!

PS: buying doublers/PG/VG is also cheaper than using singlers.
