Trying to think of a quick way to test my flavour concentrates and perhaps mixes rather than mix with nic/pg/vg and let them steep then vape. Could you just mix a drop or two with some water then swish it around on the taste buds?

Might work with eye drop size quantity's, otherwise to much dilution.

  3. Not sure about other brands, but that is exactly what Capella is designed for. A drop or two in a glass of water or added flavour to a smoothie, milkshake, etc. Pretty sure most of our concentrates are actually designed for the food industry. You'll probably get the best indication by using hot water to mix it in. Keep in mind that some of them are completely unsweetened.. much like vanilla essence is.. it smells delicious but tastes ghastly be.comse it's so concentrated ( you use a single teaspoon full in a whole cake) and isn't at all sweet.. so keep some liquid sweetener on hand as well to add in case you don't like the taste to start with.

This is what I do, gives a good idea of flavour strength as well. I don't drink it though, just swish and spit it out :)

Do you do it with mixed flavours or just the bases?

With both SMU, its a good way to judge how different flavours will blend, or not, without wasting any other stuff. For example, if I want to try a mix of a fruit flavour with say a custard, I'll do a rough estimate of the % I want in the mix, say 3% fruit = 3 drops, 5% custard = 5 drops, pop them into 5-10ml of water, then swish. If I get any nasty after taste, I don't mix them into a juice.

Its not always an accurate indication, as there are other factors involved, but more a general idea if the flavours will work together.

The old sip and spit method, you can't beat it.
