Concentrate Brands

Looking to start getting into DIY and going to order some concentrates soon.

Just wanted to know everyones favourite brand and why.

 

It's tricky to recommend just one particular brand as there's so many different flavours and variations, they all have their good ones and not so good ones.

For tobaccos I reckon the best hands down are the Super Concentrates from Juice Factory and ECMS.

Maybe go through some recipes and pick a few out you want to try and get whatever is needed for those recipes?

 

Agree with CMB the Juice Factory super concentrates are the bomb. They are also really economical to use. My next favourite would be Flavor West, then Capella. I have quite a few TPA concentrates, but only be.comse I can't get particular flavours in the other brands.

 

Is JF Black Fire the one you all have been talking about?

 

wayno yeah the black fire available at jf is very popular - the other black fire made by flavour art is not as popular and completely different

How are the iMix concentrates from Vapeking? I'm familiar with their doublers and i'll be focusing my mixes on tobacco based desserts (caramel, vanilla, custard etc).

I have a mate that i just converted but he's struggling with PG so i need to make some max VG mixes kinda quickly. Id prefer to work with some flavours i'm somewhat familiar with.

 

I use Flavor Art and The Flavors Apprentice mainly from The Juice Factory, as they also carry the Super Concentrates. They're pretty good for service SMU:encouragement::encouragement::encouragement:

 

I was told by VK yesterday that their i-Mix concentrates are mainly for enhacing/adding to existing flavours, not for creating base flavours

 

Another +1 for JF stuff, they are good. I also use TFA and a little bit of Capella.

 

That's odd. This is from their website:
Flavoured i-Mix Concentrates. Concentrated flavours to be used to make your own eliquids. Recommended Mixing ratio is 15%-25% according to desired strength. Can be mixed with tobacco concentrates to make flavoured tobaccos. Recommended mix is 20% Tobacco concentrate, 5% flavoured concentrate. PG Based.

 

Juice Factory for quick fuss free concentrates.Really can't go past Tom for his service and range.
Shanghai Butterfly Company for slow but cheap bulk concentrates.as long as you can do Chinglish. You really need to like and know a flavour to go bulk.ie 120 ml and up.Just make sure THEY provide correct paperwork for quarantine etc.
Oh and when I received my MFS nic the other day in the very bottom of the box was a flyer from SBC so possibly they may use them for their juices ? No idea really

 

I know... But they're Hangseng concentrates, and that's their material they post there. VK suggests trying a 5% flavour, and steeping for a week or so if you're going to use a single flavour.

Just passing on what i was told by VK. Personally, i really don't like the i-Mix stuff. I brought 5 flavours, and they were all krudd by themself, hence why i went to VK and asked why they are so crap heheh

Capella was/is an easy place to start for me. If you start by using others recipes just buy whatever is in the recipe.
I've found it really annoying not having a percentage to start from. With capella you can always start at 10%. I am starting to learn by smell but have a fair way to go.

All have flavours that work with and against your taste buds. Capella, FlavourArt, TFA/PA and some Flavour west. JF super concentrates too

Buy 5ml if you can and get 20 different ones.

 

I use ejuice me up, best calculator I've found so far, and it allows you to store your own recipes, as well as having database with quite a few easy recipes for those just starting DIY. It also lets you print out a recipe card, and I use these when I'm mixing, as its easier to just write down any notes and changes at the bottom of the card. I keep all my recipes in those plastic folders with the plastic sleeve inserts, be.comse if juice gets spilled, they can just be wiped clean.
