Nice smelling alternate to banana juices/ concentrates suggestion desperatly needed

Discussion in 'Vape DIY Juice / Recipes / Mixing' started by ├?┬?t├?┬?├?Γ??li├?┬?h├?┬? ├?Γ?, Oct 27, 2015.

  1. So the midget that lives with me hates me vaping my flavours.. complains vehmently about the smell... (oddly never cared about the smell of smoking)... I am primarily a banana vapor... banana cream, banana fruit banana chocloclate if it can be mixed with banana I am sooo there... unfortunately the midget hates the smell of it all.

My question then is (and I know its a strange one) can someone recommend a flavour that might be similar to banana but not smell like banana... I am open to all suggestions....I need my banana *twitches

banana has always been a creamy sort of flavour to me oogy..... but you may be out of luck if flatmate doesn't like banana at all. How about marshallow / ice cream type flavours?

most other fruits are acidic (apple, citrus fruits) and smell completely different, so may not be much help to you.

Was it MrsG that ovre did her Banana flavour yesterday, and thought the flavour changed to melon? Do you like melon flavours?

Hey oogy, I've had some issues with my .comghters and certain juices and none of them have been banana. The juices have had one thing in common though and that is you would consider them a creamy/custardy/rich dessert flavours so i wonder whether it is that component of the juice rather than the banana itself that .comses the problem? Anyway, just some thoughts and wishful thinking on my part for your dilemma! I know how you feel!

Oogy, try VK butterscotch. All of our non smoking, non vaping friends love the smell of it, even in their car!
Capella's gingerbread smells like old fashioned bakeries used to smell.. all sort of shortbready, cakey goodness.

mint/ menthol in small doses, vanilla a little too heavy for me at times and chocolate a little bland for my taste... sheesh you ever get the feeling that in order to vape you need to be a walking air freshener? Nevermind :)

I have accidently ordered a 36mg bottle of juice that I need to water down a bit. I was going to add 30ml of pg that I got from the chemist to the 30ml of juice to halve the nic level. to make up for the loss of flavour, would I be able to use cooking essence to boost it up a bit and if so how many drops would I need ??...

If you don't need it right now, I would suggest having a look on Juice Factory for a similar concentrate to the flavour you bought, rather than using cooking essence. The cooking ones tend to be quite weak in flavour unless you use a lot of them, and they sometimes have oils in them that you do not want going into your juice, it will gunk up your coils quickly, and oils are not great to be vaping.

Juice Factory have a great sale on at the moment, so you might want to grab some vg, pg, and some more concentrates, to get you started in the DIY direction, if that interests you :) They are also near Perth in WA so you can pick up your order. Have a look at the vendor forums on here or go to

    Juice Factory

The sale ends at midnight tonight, so you might want to get your order in quick if you decide to go that way :)

    cirrus76,

    Cooking essence, no.

some flavour concentrates can be used, but it is up to you how much to use, as it will be personal preference. Anything from a drop or two through to 25% can be required depending on the flavour. NOT ALL Flavourings are created equal. You need to ensure the brand and flavour you choose can be used, is soluble and can be vaped.

here is a plcae to start Guide To Flavouring - Planet of the Vapes Wiki

The flavour you choose will change the juice from what you expect, and it will probably not taste anything like what you originally bought.

Can you take 5ml and knock it down to 18mg.... see how it tastes and if you really need to add anything first ?

Another option is to see if there is a 0 nic version of your flavour you can get to use in place of the plain vg. This will keep the flavour the same, and reduce the nic

thanks spud but I am in a bit of a hurry as I have nothing else to vape but a couple of menthol carts I bummed of a friend. do you know of anything available at a chemist or supermarket that would work as a stop gap measure. my next order isn't due for two weeks.

I would be really reluctant to recommend using supermarket flavours, I have looked at a few but they all seem to contain oils, (the peppermint one does contain peppermint oil so probably wouldn't use it). Maybe you could just vape the diluted mix until you can grab a couple of concentrates. Or there may be a few other vapers in Perth that could help you out with something. Noe, JenJ, Rhojin and quite a few others are in Perth and they are all great people that would be happy to help a newbie :)

I'm sure if you ordered from Tom at Juice factory today, you could go pick it up tomorrow, why not ask in the Juice Factory vendor forum, Tom's a good bloke and really helpful.

Hope you get it sorted. One of the reasons I love DIY so much is that I always have something around that I can make up some juice with :)

Tried it. Didn't work out very well at all. :)

Try a small bit it at half strength - you never know.... atleast until you can get sorted?

What flavour juice is it ?
