Right people I think it's time to give the D.I.Y. juice mixing a go, so be prepared for a myriad of questions. My first question to all you guru's is, are there any one stop shops where I can get all the ingredients to make the juice??? For example PG/VG, nicotine and flavors.

I believe Health Cabin have it all. It might be cheaper just buying nicotine from them, and buying doublers, pg, vg locally.

Thanks SMU, I'm currently vaping my juices with a 12ml nicotine strength, so would 36ml nicotine be able to produce the same result when mixing my own??? I assume it would depending on how much is added to the mix:redface::redface::redface:.

also 36mg is good though u can get higher lower if you want just add pg/vg to it.

Way to go Rossco, I think the suggestion of buying doublers defeats the purpose of DIY as it is the experimenting and mixing that is the best part. Health Cabin have 36mg of nic at various ratios 115ml HC Unflavored E-liquid [12-A] - $11.00 : Healthcabin Electronic Cigarettes - Wholesale and Retail while your there get some hardware you need they are reasonably priced and select DHL shipping it is a lot quicker.

You can buy the PG, VG, concentrates and bottles up there from Vaping Cobra and anything you else you may need. A handy starting point for recipes is here E-Liquid Recipes | DIY E-Juice | e cig Liquids, have a look see what you like and get the concentrates from VC.

The next good thing you will need is a calculator for mixing and a lot of people use this one eJuice Me Up - Best eJuice Calculator

Good luck mate and keep us informed, any questions ask away and we will see if we can help you.

    Rossco,
For someone starting out, I reckon "Sign Me Up" is right. Buy your nic from overseas, (Vaping Zone is pretty good on price and postage and quality) and buy your PG/VG and concentrates locally. I use Juice Factory and Vaping Cobra, between the two of them you can just about get any concentrate you want.

I learn't that if you buy 100mg PG nic, then you can just about get any PG/VG ratio (except for 100% VG).

I use eJuice Me Up - Best eJuice Calculator program for mixing. Once you get the hang of it it's very simple to use and you can do any percentage, nic level, amount etc etc. The advantage to this program is that you download it so that it is installed on your computer and you don't have to be on the net to use it. It also comes with a heap of recipes and you can also save any recipes you create yourself or see elsewhere on the net. The downside is that I think you can only put in a total of 7 concentrates per recipe (you will see what I mean) but that is more than enough for me, I can't be bothered getting in to super advanced mixing. I could be wrong but I'm forming the opinion that the most popular vapes only go as far as 5 to 6 concentrates in a recipe, it all comes down to the correct ratio and what flavours go well together. Working on the KISS principle here.

Once you get started and have an idea of what flavours you like, keep an eye on the Co-Op section as occasionally peoples run a concentrate Co-Op and this is generally a cheap way of getting your favourite concentrates in bulk and very cheaply. As you progress and really get into mixing then you can also look at more expensive concentrates from overseas (I haven't got that far yet and am just happily "playing" in the sandpit LOL).
    Hope this helps.
    Cheers
    Sodd

Thanks for the heads-up Wayno, I think I'll be ordering 36mg nic in a 50/50 mix as I find this would go with a 50pg/50vg base (Correct the noob if I'm wrong):redface::redface:.

lol you pretty much said exactly what I was gonna say Sodd, all good recommendations. I get most of my concentrates from Juice Factory be.comse the customer service is so good, and the prices are probably the best for canuk vendors, they also stock Flavour West concentrates which none of the others do, which are fast becoming my favourites, next to Capella.

Agree with E-juice me up, its the best calculator I've found so far.

Some are good, some terrible, it really is a matter of what you like personally. I find the TFA (also known as TPA), a bit chemical tasting, and often way too strong. I prefer Flavour West, and Capella, as both seem to have more natural flavours. Juice Factory also have hangsen concentrates, some of which are really good, I only use hangsen butterscotch as its the best one I've found so far. Also Juice Factory have their own range of super concentrates, which are also some of the best I've tried, their citrus ones are the best :) Vaping Cobra also have a good variety of raw ingredients, which are useful once you've been DIYing for a while and learn how to use them. They can add some subtleties to a mix that you cannot get with flavour concentrates alone.

Make sure you order either 'smooth' or MTS vape wizard, as they are essential to a good mix, particularly if you are experimenting. EM (ethyl maltol), is also very useful as both a softener of flavours and a mild sweetener. Something all DIYers should have in their kit :)
