Hi Marty

I ordered 36mg at 75%PG/25%VG to get an end result of 18mg

Is this going to make any difference?

There are websites which give recipes for our favourite fast food treats.. Are there also websites which give us recipes for our favourite juices?

After seeing that there are restrictions on getting certain mixes from the USA, i'd love to be able to buy the ingredients locally and make them myself :)

Timmah, vaping cobra sell a range of flavouring chemicals, if you want to go all the way back to basics :)

There is Vape Book, they have a lot of good recipes, and the ejuice me up website has a lot of recipes. I asked for a stickied thread on here just for e juice recipes, and hopefully when Jato is well again, he may consider this. I would love to have somewhere on this forum that we could put our own recipes, (the good ones at least), and some of our favs.

Sorry, I didn't see your post. The only difference will be in the amount of extra VG you add, and that only depends on how much VG you actually prefer. Personally, I think between 20 and 25% VG is best for just the right amount of fluffiness in vapour without affecting the flavour, although this is subjective. But in general, the principles are still the same.

I've updated the pictures for your nicotine preferences, and for maintaining the VG% at the 20 to 25% range.

When you have all the 6 components shown in the picture above:

Add 5mL of your 36mg/mL Nicotine 25%VG/75%PG to the measuring cylinder.
Add 1mL of your 0mg/mL Nicotine 100% VG to the measuring cylinder.
Add 3mL of your 0mg/mL Nicotine 100% PG to the measuring cylinder.
Add 1mL of your flavouring concentrate to the measuring cylinder.

    The result is an [18mg/mL nicotine | 22.5%VG | 10%Flavour ] ejuice.

To maintain a 20-25% VG range using your 75%PG/25%VG nicotine, you'll need to order 20%VG doublers.

Add 5mL of your 20%VG flavoured Doubler to the measuring cylinder.

    The result is a [18mg/mL nicotine | 22.5%VG ] flavoured ejuice.

    Hope this helps.

Ok I got my doublers ( 70%PG/30%VG ), also PG & VG supplies from VK. I am waiting for my nic to arrive. The nic I bought is 36mg @ 75%PG/25%VG, if I just mix it 50/50 to give me 18mg what will the end PG/VG ratio be? to get the same 70/30 ratio I need to reduce the doubler to 46%. Seems a lot of trouble will just do 50/50 on the doublers and nic but finding it hard to work out final ratio for PG/VG even though it will be bugger all difference.

I am starting to like this mixing instead of buying premixed, thanks to all the members who have passed on their knowledge on this forum, it makes interesting reading.

Don't bother with trying to adjust the PG/VG ratios just yet. You might actually like the slightly higher VG. Some people love vaping even at 30, 40 and 50%VG. The main thing is to make sure the nicotine is just right.

    5mL of your 36mg/mL @ 75%PG/25%VG
    5mL of your Doubler @ 70%VG/30%VG

    Gives you

    10ml of 18mg/mL @ 72.5%PG/27.5%VG

Looks good. Try it, you might love it. If you prefer less fluffiness in your vapour then buy doublers at 20%VG. If you want more fluffiness in your vapour, then buy doublers @ 40%VG or even 50%VG

If you're only going to use Doublers for mixing, then you wont need the VG and PG supplies. But keep them, they can sit in your cupboard for years. Later on, you might want to start playing with flavour concentrates, in which case you use the picture I posted above with the 6 components.

I used 5% and I only mixed it up at 3am on Friday so it may get stronger but it's amazingly yummy now. I'm thinking of mixing up a large batch now coz I only did 5mls this time round to see what it was like, very happy with it, no need to eat musk sticks anymore, lmao. ;)

What exactly is Koolada? I've seen it's used allot but I haven't they googled it. If it's anything lime menthol I won't like it.

Koolada is just the trade name for menthyl methyl lactate.

It's essentially flavourless, but provides that kool minty feeling without the mint taste. I recommend it for any "beverage" type ejuice such as Cola, Jamaican rum and Milkshake varieties.

It's most commonly used in menthol tobacco vapes. Menthol itself privdes a coolness, but comes with a minty taste to it.

The Koolada is often added to tobacco menthol ejuice to give the extra coolness.
