food coloring

gets a bit boring with the almost clear e juice i have. any thing wrong with adding a bit of food coloring to jazz up the looks?

 

In general, no, some of the crap that goes into food coloring is NOT to be vaped, but some of the more scientific minded ( MrsGruffy, Mixologist extraordinaire) may comment,

Feral, I personally wouldn't, and don't. I actually go out of my way to buy concentrates that have little or no colour in them.
It's an element that doesn't need to be in the liquid, and it adds to the chemical cocktail of things we inhale that we really don't know the long term effects of.
I am confident that vaping is safer than smoking by orders of magnitude, and if all we could get was coloured liquids, I would still use them.

If you want to jazz up how your gear looks, why not look into some coloured tanks/clearos/driptips?
I would be more comfy with that than adding colours to the stuff we vape.

If you really want to add colouring, be sure to do some research to see if there is any info out there about the colourant as an inhalant.

Stuff that is "GRAS" isn't necessarily tested for it's safety as an inhalant.

Id say no, most of the popular juices where im from are mostly colored, even heaps of people from the u.s. vapes colored juices. I would say that its okay, we eat and drink stuff with food coloring in it, lollies, sodas, chips, etc, most of the stuff people take has food coloring. Yet again its subjective

 

Not so much.

Food coloring is not approved or tested for inhalation, we have no idea what the effects may be of inhaling food dye over an extended period of time or even a relatively short term.
Look at Diacetyl (sp) for instance, it's GRAS to eat as a flavoring in foods but inhaling it can .comse "pop corn lung" disease, a debilitating respiratory condition.

I did once test food color in one of my devices(carto in a tank, that I thought would look cool with red juice) & the coil on it gave up much sooner too , than it normally would have, so it will be harder on your gear if nothing else.
After that I decided it wasn't worth the risks or the expense.

ADG's get Boozing and Brawling,,,,

Techie's, Snoozing and Floozying,,,,

 

Agh... Fitter and turner... Not too many of them exist anymore!!

 

And for the record I've never been RoC'd or charged for boozin...
