    Hi all,
    Just after some advice please...
okay so i purchased 12mg of unflavoured nicotine with PG 50% VG 50% and flavoured juice i am trying to find some god mixing quantities.
After playing around last night i mixed 9ml f unflavoured nicotine to 1ml of flavour seemed okay, but i think it can be better.
I als think i should have ordered a higher nicotine mg, which i now have put an order in for 32mg ....but for now need help with the 12mg...

I read on another forum something about mixing it with distilled water? can someone please help me out with some info and ratios...
    Thanks in advance

um i would avoid the distilled water that is usually for thinning VG juices i think.

gonna need some more info here though to be able to help. what mg juice are you trying to achieve? what flavour are you mixing it with? is it a doubler/tripler? or a concerntrate? if your unsure provide a link to the page you purchased it from.

    welcome to the forums

okay i thought it was used to dilute the vg..
    this is my flavours
Electronic Cigarette flavors, E cigarette flavors, and e flavoring.
at the moment i am experementing with bubble gum
and this is my nicotine juice
236 ml Unflavored Nicotine Juice USA made - Mt Baker Vapor - Electronic Cigarettes
i have purchased there pre made juices and basically the best one was on a ratio of
18mg, 50% 50% DOUBLE SHOT (and yes i realize i only bought 12mg lol stupid me!)
so i am trying to achieve throat hit with being able to taste a flavour.
I hope this makes sense i am still trying my best to learn it all, but on the plus side it has stopped me and
my husband from smoking cigarettes :)
    Thanks for the welcome

Also, I see you have 12mg nic juice.

How many mg did you want your finished juice to be?
If you were to mix your 12mg at 50/50% the mixed product would only be 6mg. That 9ml nic plus 1ml flavor would give you 10.8mg

A good idea is to use a mixing calculator. There is a really good app called ejuice or e-juice that I have on my iPad which is great. Also there are many websites that have mixing calculators.

Just checked the mt vapor website.
    Mix flavoring at 15-40%

yes i wanted a higher mg finish probably around 18mg s i have ordered a 32mg for my next lot,
but for now i will use the 12mg so i wuld want toachieve at least a 10.8 hence the 9-1 ratio i have been creating.
So just to make sure i understand if i was to put more flavour into my mix say 2m instead of 1m it will just bring down
    my nicotine level?correct?

    Hi Sherree
    Welcome to the forum.
I think you may need to up your flavour a bit too. 10% is a bit low for MBV flavours. I usually mix at around 20% for them.

Also, you could try upping your PG, with future mixes. Maybe 80/20, or 75/25. VG will mute flavours a bit, and PG you will find gives a bit more throat hit. You only need to use distilled water if you want to thin out your VG a bit.

It shouldn't take your new order that long to get here, but in the meantime there is not much you can do, unless you have some menthol or similar, be.comse that can pack a punch to most mixes. But try another ml or so more flavour for now and see if that improves it a bit.

Can't do much with 12mg nicotine, but you can use it when you have your 36mg (32mg?) and if you mix equal parts of those two you will end up with around 24mg I reckon. I think? Hmm...hope my maths isn't out.

    Good luck.

    Correct.
I usually buy at least double strength nic juice, and also some plain 0mg VG/PG.

That way with a calculator you can mix any strength without too much math ;)

Thanks so much guys for your patience :)
I will continue mixing things up and see how i go!
But yes 20% flavour is so much better, i look forward to my next order

I highly recommend you get yourself the ejuice app. It's free from the App Store.
Takes all math out of it lol. Just don't measure in drops as suggested by the app, different brands and different bases can vary in drops, always measure with a syringe or pipette.
Also has a cool recipe forum for mixing your own flavors.

Heres some screendumps of the app so you can see the GUI

    Cheers
    Kev :)

You only need to add PG/VG if you want to change the percentage of that in your mix, and to cut down your nicotine. Obviously if you want to vape say 12mg nic, and you buy 36mg nic, you would cut it down with PG/VG to get to 12mg. You use different measurements of PG/VG if you need to add these to keep your final mix ratio where you want it. I hope this makes sense.

Adding PG or VG to the nic you are buying is a bit like adding extra water to a glass of cordial you have just made up, and it is too strong. It is already in there anyway, but you can use it to cut the strength down further. Bad analogy, but the only one I have atm.

You don't have to but it comes in handy. I started be.comse a friend asked me to mix her up a batch and she only vaped 8mg, so I had to cut my juice.
But since then I have always kept spare VG and PG around, comes in handy.

That way, it doesn't matter what you are working with, you can always adjust your juices to get your target nicotine level.

It's good also for reducing nicotine content. I started vaping at 24mg, and I am now down to 3mg but I am still using the 36mg bottle I originally bought to mix my juices with.

I think your analogy was perfect! :) Cordial!!! Never thought of it that way before, but it just seems much simpler to understand now hahaha
