In any event, the fact that there have been over 60 posts between the last post you made & the one I am quoting proves the thread is healthy & of benefit to AVF members, no need to close it & no need to keep asking or insinuating that it should be.

 

Okay I cant find the answer to a post im sure i posted in this thread,

so can someone please just do the math for me, I have 10ml 100mg nic, 20ml tripler, how much vg do I need to add to make 20mg juice???

 

If you tell me what the pg:vg ratio of your tripler and your 100 mg nic, I can!
10 mL of 100mg nic, and you want 20 mg - that will make 50mL eliquid altogether.

Also, what do you want the final pg:vg ratio to be?

20mL of tripler will be enough for 60 mL of eliquid. For 50mL, you'll need to add 10mL of your nicotine, 16.6mL of tripler, and 23.4mL of pg or vg.

 

10ml 100mg nic, 17ml tripler, 23ml of unflavoured PG/VG will give you 50ml @ 20mg/ml

I'm unaware of pg/vg levels in my nic and tripler. All I have is vg so here's hoping to a vapeable mix!!!! VK 5 here I go...

 

Well you have 1000mgs of nic (10ml x 100mg = 1000mg) so divide 1000 by 20 = 50ml. That's the total amount of juice you want to mix up @ 20mg/ml.
To calc the tripler is easy 50ml /3 = close enough to 16.5ml (16.66666666666666), leaving you 3.5ml of tripler, enough to make another 10ml of juice (if you have nic).
Now you just subtract 10ml(nic) & 16.5ml(tripler) from 50ml = 23.5ml VG.
See not hard at all

I'm just shit at maths, if its more than a simple equation I get confused and have to write it all out on paper. I could've figured out the sums but its faster to ask you guys, so ill pose one more problem for you to solve

Is it 30ml doubler, 20ml vg?

Oh and another one, if I have 100%pg nic and doublers that are 70/30 pg/vg what pg/vg ratio do I end up with, is it 80/20 or 85/15?

 

It'd be 20ml doubler + 20ml VG.. or 30ml doubler + 10ml VG.

Have you tried using one of the mixing calculators?

 

I looked at two mixing calculators but they confused me. Asking for measurements in drops wtf? I don't know how many drops are in a ml!

 

ok, 10ml of 100mg/ml is 1000mg of nic.

so to get 20mg/ml you need it in 1000/20 = 50ml juice total.

assuming you want 25ml doubler .. then 25ml doubler, 10ml nic and 15ml VG.

you end up with 0.3 * 25 + 15 ml of vg in it .. 22.5ml in total of 50ml

so ratio is 55% PG 45% VG..

It has drops but you can ignore it and just look at ml measurements. If you not having any luck figuring it all out in your head it's probably worth a little bit of time to
figure out one of these instead. Plus once you have it you can print out a card with the recipe on for future use.

 

aprox 20 drops

 

10ml 100mg nic + 25ml Doubler + 15ml VG = 50mls 20mg

OR if you want to make up 10mls

2ml 100mg nic + 5ml Doubler + 3ml VG = 10mls 20mg

 

answer - 85/15 pg/vg

 

i think wrong CCC .. every test i ever did gives between 30 and 35 drops.

 

Okay, I was more aiming for 80/20 or 70/30 but in this case my nic is 36mg pg and I want 18mg. So in order to get 80/20 or 70/30 should I put less nic in - like aim for 15mg and just add some vg???

 

also wrong read in context of question post, it had VG added too.

 

ok, your two questions where seperate, soz CCC.

drop a little doubler would be better ff. its more important to get the right nic level than flavour imo.
many doublers are over strength anyway..
