Sorry for this rant, but I feel it's legit to be frustrated about this.

I keep coming across ejuice recipes where the.comthors either forget or simply don't consider including the brand of flavourings they use.

The ejuicemeup software is infested with these recipes, and it just pisses me off. Blueberry from FlavourArt is completely different to blueberry from PA, which is even more different to Lorann's. Vanilla is also different in each brand.

There needs to be a standard in.comthoring ejuice recipes.

    This is what I propose ;

Keep it simple. You don't need to add in nicotine or PG content. Just describe the VG.
Always describe the brand of flavourings.
Try to keep everything to percentages.

    Example :
    ------------------------------------------------
    Recipe Name :
    Example

    Flavours:
    PA Flavour : 3%
    FlArt Flavour : 3%
    -------------------
    Additives:
    Ethyl Malto : 5%
    Koolada : 2%
    -------------------
    VG : 30%

    -------------------------------------------------

    Simples.

Thats why many people ignore the recipes on ejuicemeup.

Just head straight to the recipes on ECF DIY section. I don't generally copy these recipes 100% be.comse some of them are just stupid - using 20% cinnamon redhots (how fucking stupid and waste of concentrate!)
I will though post some links which i check regularly. I mainly use these recipes which have feedback to see what flavours go with what flavour.

    1) Here is a list for the most popular flavours from companies which majority of people like (For instance TFA watermellon over FA watermellon etc), basically the winner was TFA from a vast majority of flavours.
2012 The Best of the Best DIY flavorings from each flavor manufacture

    2) DIY recipe book - DIY Recipe Book

    3) ECF DIY Recipe Forum - E-Liquid Recipes

    4) AAEC recipe collection - AAE-C MEMBERS RECIPE COLLECTION | ALL ABOUT E-CIGARETTES UK

    5) DIY Recipe pages:
E-Liquid Recipe Book | Your Online Place for All Your E-Liquid Recipes
    Recipes | planetofthevapes.co.uk
    The Vape Book

I'm sure there are about 100 other webpages but i cbf finding them ALL.

Yeah a few months back I came across recipes like that too, bit pointless if we don't know the brand!

you guys rock. thanks for sharing.

i bought a whole bunch of flavours based on ejuicemeup's recipes...i noticed the inconsistency but didn't think it'd be that big a deal...guess i was wrong lol.

thanks heaps for sharing guys i really appreciate it. i'm just starting my mixing journey and everytime i buy flavour concentrates i find i've missed a few i need and will have to buy more...

i dun suppose you guys have a favourite place to buy your concentrates?

i still can't get over the learning curve...i could live on here and ecf and never become an expert...

excuse me for being so free with my likes...i'm a likeable sorta guy...haha...uh...um...err...

VapingCobra (FlavourArt, Perfumers Apprentice, Capella), Juicewhore (FA, PA, and Cap), EcigQuality (FA + Lorann), EcigModshop (Hangsen and their own some are very oriental-like e.g Turkish Blend and Winston, some are not oriental at all e.g Old Captain & Black Fire), and VapeKing (imix - which are very Oriental-like flavours).

Oriental = Dekang, Hangsen, Ruyan type flavours

haha. Yes, I know you get what you paid for, but I was hoping that the database could develop like the Linux Development Community. Its hard to do when something simple like brands are left out. Its a vital part to making it all work.

lmao mrs gruffy. yeah i have a funny feeling ejuicemeup/breaktru would tell me to get stuffed.

Marty 'should we/is there' a thread combining everyone's favourite recipe site? maybe we could make one and have a rule that they must follow a standard as you suggested?

NSW SCORED A TRY!!!! WHOOP WHOOP!!!

heck i'd be willing to contact some of the people that made the recipes (sneaking suspicion most of the recipes were imported from thevapebook.com) and help compile the master list for everyone to use. might piss off a few vendors though...

ejuicemeup itself is a wonderful program. I just wish those contributing to the recipe database did so properly.

I understand your frustration marty. As you pointed out about "those contributing", most of the recipes included in eJuice Me Up is from users who failed to provide the flavoring brand name.

I personally will use the flavor brand I have on hand, regardless of what the recipe flavor brand is. If I had to buy the many flavor brands for the recipes I use, I would be broke. Just my preference, I extensively use FlavourArt.
