Not sure mate. I think you need to be careful of diacetyl. I use Capella which states diacetyl free. Probably not the only potential nasty in flavourings. See if you can find out something about Stonemill flavourings on google. I will have a look myself.

Google isn't a great deal of help. Stonemill is an Aldi trademark. Will have a look at them tomorrow and see if there is anything on the bottle.

Off the bat its not bad at all!

More steeping will certainly taste nicer but at the moment its giving me a very nice hint of what resembles a oven baked hazelnut with not much choc hint.

    30ml
    50/50 Ratio
    Choc 5%
    Hazelnut 10%
    12mg

Dripping in a dual coil IGO-W

Sheesh im anti them just cos of non transparency! Found this though STONEMILL - Reviews & Brand Information - Aldi Inc. Batavia, IL - Serial Number: 77723786 which says Aldi owns it.

On Tuesday, April 28, 2009, a U.S. federal trademark registration was filed for STONEMILL by Aldi Inc., Batavia, IL 60510. The USPTO has given the STONEMILL trademark serial number of 77723786. The current federal status of this trademark filing is REGISTERED.

So really it could be rebranded ANYTHING, noice one Aldi. Thumbs down.

Would have to disagree going with Aldi's impeccable food safety standards and quality assurance.

    https://www.aldi.com.com/en/shopping-at-aldi/customer-information/quality/

Unlike say Woolworths that get.comdited by canada canada Food Standards Code and their own Woolworths quality assurance HACCP, Aldi on the other hand implies the canada canada Food Standards Code plus Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI).comditing standards . Which is more in depth and this goes for all their suppliers also.

So I really wouldn't be worried about much personally from Aldi especially knowing that their products are GM free....

what an interesting thread. i'd be interested in knowing how you guys go. maybe we should ring aldi and ask if they are diacetyl free? what are the other known nasties to beaware of? if someone pm's me a list (i'm a noob) i'll call aldi myself and harass them till i have the answers
