I'm apparently in some state wherein I can't do simple math, so I need some help.

About to order some flavours and I'm seriously losing it trying to work out how I'll mix stuff down to get something close to 60/40 PG/VG @ 18mg.

I currently have 36mg 100% PG nicotine. My flavours will be coming from VapeKing and I'm having serious issues figuring out if I should get doublers or triplers and what ratio those flavours should be. I'm more than happy to buy some VG to cut things down with.

Please help, I'm losing my mind. I just need to know which choice(s) would be easiest in terms of flavour and how much of each ingredient (nic/VG/flavour) I'll need to use.

    Thanks!

36mg, put 5ml in a bottle (dropper bottle) put in 5ml of Doubler (your flavor choice) and you get 10ml of 18mg, that's what Ive been doing,

Hi Trilla, I think VK's triplers are only available as 100% PG?? For 30ml:
    15ml 36mg/ml PG
    10ml tripler PG
    5 ml VG
You are only going to get 83PG17VG

Not quite sure what the highest VG ratio available in their doublers ... I would get the highest

Okay, had a look at VK's doublers ... max appears to be 40% VG, so only 80PG20VG is possible with that. But triplers may also be available in 60PG40VG ... if so, then you'll have 70PG30VG after mixing.

You were right with the nic, Richo.
It's the PG/VG ratios making it difficult to calculate.

VK has tripplers in 60/40 PG/VG, I just tried a dummy order & it went through at that ratio for a trippler.
So that's what I think you should get 60/40 trippler.

    Then mix:
    15ml 36mg/ml nic
    10ml trippler
    5ml VG

That will give you 70/30 PG/VG & is as high as you will be able to get it @ 18mg/ml, using VK tripplers & the nic you have.

No Noe No, Triplers are 100% PG regardless of whether your dummy order works.

"Please note that all triplers are 100% PG."

Well in that case, VK is not where Trilla needs to buy tripplers from for her juice mix. JuiceWhore does a trippler in the right VG ratio.

I was in the same boat when i started. At the end of it all I put my PG away (not in the bin... but close to it) and invested in VG nic. It seems most places deal with High PG flavours, so buying a PG nic to me was a waste and only seemed to make things difficult. I will admit I like my juice a little high in the VG side of things. I mix 50/50, 60vg/40Pg or 70vg/30pg as a rule with no issues using %100vg nic.

Hi, you're not the only one mate...I'm totally new to this. I've bought a unflavoured 36mg nic base 75PV/25VG. But I also bought 10ml Dekang flavourings that are 18mg, should have been 0mg I guess! Also have 115ml bottles of PG and VG.

Now while I'm getting around to buying 0mg flavours to use with my 36mg base, does anyone know the best method of using the 18mg flavours? They are made with 80PG/20VG according to the HC site, so do I squirt these straight in, no mixing? I'm wanting a 18mg target.

    Please help!!

    Thanks in advance!

I have no Idea why people even get 36mg nic. Just get the 100mg. Much easier to mix to whatever ratio you want.

your 18mg flavours would be ready to go straight into your clearo or whatever you're using. if you find 18mg too strong, you could definitely add some pg or vg to dilute it a bit, but you'd lose some flavour.

Be.comse mixed 50/50 with a doubler it is a two part process, 1/2 nic, 1/2 doubler, pretty simple.

Also be.comse if you are ordering from 1 site like HC for your first order & getting everything from the one place, then the highest strength available is 36mg/ml unflavored. For a newby it is, IMO, a good way to save $ on shipping costs getting all their gear & juice from a single vendor. Getting some premixed juice & some unflavored to mix with doublers(to be bought on their subsequent order(s)), ensures they have an adequate supply to vape with for more than a month.

During that time, while not smoking, the newby can save money on the cost of smokes & learn more about vaping, in the process discovering things they may like to purchase as well as some stronger nic. At that point, they are experienced enough & have some confidence with mixing, to choose DiY or to choose not to DiY or take the option of using doublers/triplers (semi-DiY).
