Android app 'Vape' - Sam Edition

I been debating with myself about releasing this as the original code is not mine.

I initially tried emailing thecomthor with my suggestions but the emails bounced back - not sure what is going on there. Maybe he moved ISP and lost his email account, shrug.

What i have done though is kept the originalcomthors details intact and just enhanced the actual features (to suit my needs) which include:

• 10 ingredients option (decomlt was 5)
• Added a recipe and expenses locks on the settings page

Now you can have your friends (or kids, unless they manage to unlock them on the settings page first) not delete or edit valuable recipes or expenses in their respective lists.

I had another look at the official version and it hasnt changed in revision since when i did the fixes many months ago, so i am assuming it is abandoned as the achievements is still bugged for me.

Please note if you already have this app, it should just upgrade easily - backup your original app and database though, or dont blame me if anything goes wrong!

This is provided as an 'AS IS' enhancement, i am not the originalcomthor, nor do i guarantee it will work for you on your Android device.

FWIW, it works fine on my Samsung Galaxy S4 mini running CM12 Lollipop.

Wow, this is a really cool app. I have a Samsung Galaxy Tablet but it's mostly for my kid. It's too bad that the app isn't available on the app store since my phone is an iPhone. I guess I can download this app on my tablet since it's my only android device. I just wouldn't want my kid opening up the app and wondering what it's all about, lol. Anyway, that locking feature is fantastic, it can certainly help me especially since my child tends to just click and click and click on the tablet.

 

It definitely will be helpful especially to keep the recipe safe. I will definitely download it!
