As the title says, I can't remember if you are building a coil on say a lemo (bottom air flow) is it the higher the coil from the air flow that gives you more throat hit or lower?

Just got a lemo 2 from HOV after using AGA T5 for 4 months and the throat hit is so harsh on a juice that I'm used to.

Not sure if it's the coil placement from the air flow or my increase of PG due to the colder weather. However I only increase the mix from 45/55 to 50/50, i would not imagine an increase of 5% would result dramatically.

And being a lemo 2, I can't try to experiment with changing the placement of the coil as I need to wait till the tank is empty.

    Cheers guys.

    Helen.

I can tell a difference in PG/VG ratios but it'd need to be more than just that small of a difference. Maybe at 10% but that small nope, coil placement IMHO certainly does play a role in throat hit and flavour. Higher the coil more throat hit and warmer vape, closer to the deck takes a bit out of it.

Or you could lower your volts/watts to reduce temp a little until you can move the coil. I place my coil where I like the flavour the most and adjust airflow/power to get the kind of temperature of and flow I like to vape. I've not used a lemo but think it would be the same on all attys.

Or if your mouth to lung you could try direct lung until you finish that tank. Mind you juice is so cheap really you could always just do it now (even save the juice if you feel the need) and tweak/try coil placement till your happy and then fill up again. And then just enjoy /smile

Maybe it's just me, but I'm funny like that. If I'm not enjoying the vape I don't see the point on continuing not enjoying it for the sake of a coil or tiny bit of juice, lol and I am a real tight wad normally too lol. But I have emptied juice out with a needle and used it after I've sorted my issue. (I told y'all I'm a tight-wad and I think my juice costs me like 25cents per small bottle hehehe).

The lower the coil, the less throat hit.

I remember this by - the closer the coil is to your throat, the more it hits it.

You could also be having wicking issues. When the coil isn't as saturated as it could be, you can get some harsh throat hit while still producing flavour and vapour.

Also have a good look at some vids of wicking that Lemo. I found I was getting dry hits and a harsh vape until I left the juice channels clear of wick.

Cheers guys, yeah i probably will open her up lower the coil a tad and re wick it again.

Don't like a harsh throat hit these days, although i still remember when i started vaping a year ago, i would not be satisfied if I don't get a throat hit.

Lemo 2 is a great tank, with the ability to fill her up from the top however without the ability to get to the coil deck without emptying the juice is a minus.

Only to add to all of the above, every atty is different. Start at say 8W take a puff and go up a couple of watts each puff until your happy, then fine tune to what suits you.

This, it works better with less cotton.

I love Rip Trippers. Watch his reviews religiously.

Regarding your coil placement question, I always place mine 1-2 mm from the bottom airflow, has been working for me.
