i have come to the assumption i cannot make a higher vg ratio than %20 with the 36mg nic... so.. to get 50/50 and 30/70 would you be kind enough to let me know the ratios i need with the VG 50mg nic...

    would it be...

    50/50 (24mg)
    3ml flavour
    12ml pg
    15ml 50mg nic base?

    30/70 (24mg)
    3ml flavour
    15ml 50mg nic base
    5ml vg
    7 ml pg??

    is that right???

hmm .. 36mg is trickier .. will need some vg nic now.

still want the 720mg final qty in the 30ml.. will have to work it differentely now.

    80:20 is 24ml pg and 6ml vg
can use 20ml of the 36 to make up the 720 total.

so flavour 3ml, pg nic 20ml .. need 1 ml of straight pg, 6ml straight vg.

    so
    3ml flavour
    20 ml 36mg nic
    1ml pg
    6ml vg

    50:50
so want 15ml pg total, 15 ml vg total

    3ml flavour
12 ml 36 mg pg ( gives us 432mg nic, need another 288mg nic)
5.72ml vg 50mg/ml .. makes up the rest of the nic
9.28ml vg (makes up the 15ml vg)

    30:70
so need 9ml pg total, 21 ml vg

    3ml flavour
    6ml 36mg pg (= 216 mg nic, need 720 - 216 .. 504mg more)
    10.08ml vg 50mg
    10.92ml vg

did those in my head, should be correct..

    10ml VG50
    11mg VG0

Do you want to know how?

Stoney's is the correct way to work out mixing various nic strengths with various PG/VG ratios, and how I worked mine out.

Learnt from my first purchase of VG36; PITA ;) 100mg/ml is even easier to work out and I now order both PG & VG in that strength. I still have 115ml of VG36 to use though, so I go through this every time (be.comse I can't make up my mind on the VG% ;))

Once you finish off this bottle, buy yourself (if you want to of course :)) some 100mg/mL 100%VG nicotine. It's so versatile and easy to use.
If you were making 70%PG/30%VG @ 24mg/mL all you need is.

    2.4mL 100% VG 100mg nic per 10mL
    0.6mL VG per 10mL
    5mL 100% PG flavour doubler
    2mL PG

    OR
    3.33mL 100% PG flavour tripler
    3.67 PG

Then, if you want to increase VG percentages, just add 1mL of VG and subtract 1mL PG per 10mL of eliquid.
If you want to increase by factors of 1%, add 0.1mL VG rather than 1mL, etc..

Should never really need a calculator if you use 100mg/mL nic. :)

It is easy to use but I've seen people use it incorrectly! Easily the best calculator, although, I usually don't need it now as I know what PG/VG percentages I like, etc..
Once a newbie figures out how to use it, it's great for them with experimenting with different PG/VG percentages, different nic strengths, mixing multiple flavours and all that kind of thing.

Yep, VG100 is the most versatile but when your desired nic% exceeds your desired VG% you also need some PG nic (which is why I also have PG100, not including my need to use my VG36). 100mg is obviously the easiest to calculate though.

When I ran 24mg juice I found 2 part PG36mg to 1 part VG flavor doublers the simplest method.

You end up with 24mg 2/3rd PG to 1/3rd VG mix that's not too thick and not too thin, holds flavor and gives good vapor. You'll get an extra 50% out of your flavors(which is generally the expensive part) and they won't be too strong in the mix.

Now I run 18mg I have to cut the nic with a little PG0mg to keep the other ratios

    Cheers

eJuice Me Up Calculator Version 11.0.0 has just been released.

If you need to mix/combine Pre-Mixed eLiquids with different PG/VG ratios and would like to figure out what the resulting ratio is, I added a calculation function in the tools menu. Go to Tools, Nic Combine

You can calculate for Nic or ZERO Nic.
