    Hey all,
I’ve been absent for a couple of weeks, to break it all down and cut the story as short as possible:
    • Admitted to Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital on Tuesday 17th March with Appendicitis (Perforated & Gangrenous)
    • Cleared for surgery on Thursday 19th March, 1pm
    • Final IV drip and drain removed Saturday 21st March, 9:30am
    • Married at Sacred Heart Church 4 hours later (1:30pm)
    • Reception at Frasers Rescomrant, Kings Park at 6:30pm
    • On a flight to Bali for our honeymoon Monday 23rd March, 5:00pm
Now I’m back on board and recovering well following this whirlwind time, but this post isn’t about the wedding & such (even though I will include a link to our photographer’s blog for anyone interested in seeing photos of a corpse-looking man with a walking stick marrying an angel). This post is to help anyone who is travelling to Bali and wants to pick up some awesome vape gear.

So we were walking around seminyak after having dinner a few days into our honeymoon, and stumbled across ‘CStyle Vape’, the first e-cig/vape shop in Bali according to the sign. I bookmarked the location as it was after hours and came back the following day to check it out. The shop was fairly small but very nice and clean, awesome aircon too. It had glass cabinets filled with everything from cigalikes to pen styles to box mods and mechs. Also had a range of e-juices, all sourced from France. I was in the market for an iStick 50, but they only had the 20 and 30 so I gave them a try along with some of their juices. The lady was very helpful and happy to have me try whatever I wanted. The 30w iStick was, however, around 750,000RB or $7comD, which I know is overpriced. I didn’t want to leave empty handed considering I had hung around like a bad smell, so I picked up a couple of the nicer juices that I’d tried and said I’ll probably be back with the wife.

I then thought I’d google to see if there were any other places in Bali that I could check out, see if the pricing was any better and stumbled across GodsVape in Denpasar. Anyone who knows Bali well will know that Denpasar is a mostly commercial/industrial area, fairly isolated from most of the touristy spots and doesn’t attract a lot of attention from travellers, it’s mostly catering to locals, so I thought I’d try it out. Taxi ride was about $10 either way from Legian, but that includes the taxi driver getting lost a couple of times and having to ask for directions.

I walk in and it looks like the Balinese equivalent of an old chinese opium den, 6 or 7 guys lying on couches and bean bags, the air thick with clouds of sweet smelling vapour, I was shown upstairs by the young guy who spoke the most English and they had a lovely setup, heaps of US and Euro juices, quite a few mods, mech mods, replacement parts, rebuildable parts and other bits and pieces. I managed to get an iStick 50w, Aspire Atlantis, 5 pack of coils for my comtilus Mini, same for the new Atlantis, a couple of tips, Japanese cotton, a couple of lengths of kanthal and a 30ml bottle each of Mad Vapes ‘Pencil’ and Jamesons ‘Amelia’, both premium USA juices that I really loved the smell of (he wasn’t really set up for me to test them). To give a quick review, Pencil is a Pear/Vanilla/Pie Crust type vape, similar to the five pawns Gambit, but much nicer flavour, much more robust and a nice little throat hit. Amelia is a bcomtiful strawberry that is packed with flavour and tastes like a strawberry jam or if you were boiling down fresh strawberries in syrup for a tart or something. Both awesome juices, 6mg/ml.

I won’t say what price I got them for, but from what I can gather it was cheaper than what I have seen around the place, and from what I can tell, and I have been looking, everything iscomthentic. I urge you to look up GodsVape on facebook if you are visiting Bali and make the trip there, as they were really helpful and the price was brilliant.

Apologies for the long post, wanted to get it all covered in one go! Needless to say I am loving the iStick 50 / comtilus Mini / Mad Vapes ‘Pencil’ as my ADV setup, with the Atlantis loaded with ‘Amelia’ for my night time subbie. Box mods are the way for me, methinks.

Oh and if anyone wants to see photos of the wedding, please see our photographers blog Perth Wedding Photographer | Michelle Dean | Pet Photography |comstralia | International and look at ‘Ben & Caitlin’s Wedding’. We also have our engagement shoot immediately below it.

    Peace all, Ben

Apologies, the juice that I've been vaping is Must Vape 'Pencil' not Madvapes, not sure where I got madvapes from...

After a few days of having this as an ADV, I can say it doesnt get old quickly!

Nice write up and sorry to hear your health hasn't been too good. Really bad timing being so close to the 'big day'.
It looks like you both had an awesome time though. Congrats on the wedding....and great wedding photos too :)

Glad to hear it, it's an awesome place, but make sure you have a map handy with the place, maybe print it before you go, as I had to run out to an internet cafe at one point, and the internet cafes in denpasar (not really catering to the tourist trade) dont usually have english speakers in abundance. The guy had never seencomstralian dollars before and I was showing him our coins and notes. While you're there you will probably get some indonesian 500 and 1,000 rupiah coins, those things are weird, very light and plastic feeling.
I didnt have any problems and I brought back about 4 bottles, in my suitcase, just put them in my toiletries bag.
I had my istick and a loaded Aspire Atlantis in my hand luggage, but had the Atlantis in a separate normal plastic bagged, rolled up in case it leaked, which it did, quite a bit... I wouldnt advise keeping tank and mod together on the plane.
On the plus side, it did make me smell, rather than someone who has just come from a hot, muggy place and spent 3.5 hours on a plane, like a delicious strawberry jam... Which is good if you're in to that kind of thing...
I didnt vape in public, just becomse I dont take many risks when overseas, I've seen the Balinese prisons! Just at the hotel room, the missus enjoyed the smell :)

I think its OK to vape in Bali ,im sure i saw bothcoms prisoners ,due to be executed soon vaping an ego styled pen BUT,
Bali Police have a licence to do virtually anything ,especially to wealthy tourists .!!!!!!
Probably best to not walk on the wild side !!!

Thank you for sharing your experience in buying from Bali! And wow, I love the photographer's website! I cannot seem to find your photos though since the site has no search function.:/ Anyway, I'm glad that your experience in Bali was good although some items were overpriced. I would definitely be checking out the stores you went to if I do go to Bali, which won't be anytime soon, lol.
