It appears Flavourart don't have artificial sweeteners. Does anyone know of any other concentrate suppliers that either don't use artificial sweeteners. I like my HC flavours, but I have a bad reaction to artificial sweeteners in food for years and it seems even the super low amounts in juice mess with me.

    Cheers

Might try ones that use alternative artificial sweeteners like stevia. Do you know if you are sensitive to that? I know one of the canuk vendors sweetens with that.

joe2tc, I'm a noob, and none of these may help you, but I bought this liquid as I'm also sensitive to different flavours etc.

    E-Liquid, ECOpure eliquid

Now nothing there may be what you're looking for, but there may be a ready made juice for you to try. They also have a NZ site, which you can go to. They ship to OZ cheaply. Hope this might help a little. :)

22.comD Bucks for 1 30ml bottle of juice?
Fark youd want it to be pretty good. The sun should shine out of the bottle for that price.

A mate gave me 10ml of that bite extra stuff that they sell be.comse he quit altogether. Anyone used that or knows how much to use? I put a bit in a tank and didnt notice any extra Throat Hit.

Perfumers Apprentice don't use artificial sweeteners in their concentrates. They do sell Sucralose but certainly don't sweeten their concentrates with it.

When I started I tried sucralose, but it tastes horrid. I did at one point use Stevia but no longer have a need for it. The right PG and VG is often sweet enough and you shouldn't need to sweeten.

Have you tried Ethyl Maltose? It is a sweetening agent , available as crystals ,which you then dilute with PG.

Yes, I know! But, they are all pharma grade, which makes me personally feel a little less anxious about trying out vaping. :)

And you do get 20% vat off, and free ship, so it's not that bad. I looked for 30ml bottles out of Halo, RTS (which didn't have small size), and the postage was dearer than that. Plus I'm spending over $150 a week on cigs, so if I use a $20 bottle of juice a week, I'm still winning. :D

Thanks all for the replies. Good suggestions here. Yeah, I don't really want sweeteners added, the base liquids are certainly sweet enough. My real goal would be to find a flavour concentrate for a typically sweet flavour (fruits etc), that wasn't sweet in itself except for the PG/base in it.

Sucralose may be my worst enemy. I'll continue my search. I've got some tobacco flavours coming in the meantime as I've been vaping flavourless for a few weeks and its a bit dull.

    Cheers

That's strange I love sucralose. Not in foods but in juices it's the most 'natural' kind of sweetener I've tasted...if some flavourings just need a bit of sweetening one drop for 5ml can sometimes be the difference between putting it down the sink or making another batch (crazy I know!)

It's easy to over-do it with sucralose, I've definitely experienced that...

Here's an e-mail I got from one of the owners of a top e-juice company in the US - (His juices weren't sweetened by de.comlt, you used to have to select an option. He started adding "sweetener recommended" for many juices, so I asked him how I could do this)

After that me and sucralose been pretty inseparable.

Ethyl Maltol might not be technically a sweetener but it's still very awesome. Worth having.

I read a while ago about someone who had much success using Agave nectar in PG as a sweetener. Worth a try?

Del makes some of my most favourite juices ever and she doesn't use sweetener? I would have never guessed that :)

So I can get both sucralose and stevia in liquid form at coles or woolies? I guess in the sugar section. How much do u usually put in a bottle?
Has anyone tried anything else to sweeten juices lately? Just wondering if there is an easy DIY solution for this instead of ordering sweetener.

Loranns Cotton Candy seems to be just PG and Ethyl Maltol from what ive read. I have it and use it in some of my DIY. Adds a sweetness and rounds off some flavours.
Just comes in a small bottle, here is where I get mine from: LorAnn Cotton Candy Oil Flavour

Thank u! But yeah I was hoping someone had a DIY supermarket solution for now. I just placed 2 orders from JW and VK and only saw last minute today that VK is now going to be stocking a sweetener..but it was too late to throw it in with the order. And I was hoping and intending on not ordering anything more for a while.

Yeah I know how that feels, sometimes I get everything I need and damn..missing one more part! Another Order lol...the cycle continues :p

I have read on other forums of people using the artificial sweeteners from supermarkets. From what I gather sucralose (equal, splenda ect) can be used, but seems they only talk of it in liquid form. you might have to check out woolies and coles and see whats available in a liquid at the fake sugar section.

    Yerr it sux!! lol :/
That'd be good if I could do that..might just have a look when I'm there later on. Just wouldn't have any idea on how much to use. Guess start off slow then add more if needed..That's if it even works at all!

I picked up a bottle of this from woolworths, View attachment 2413
Its ingredients are: Water, Sodium Saccharin 5.9%, Sodium Benzoate.

Sodium Saccharin is the sweetener, Sodium Benzoate is the preservative.

I added 1 drop to a 10ml DIY mix I made and it has seriously sweetened it up, much more than the loranns cotton candy does. But I am also getting a tiny burnt sugar taste every now and then in my stardust. OR maybe its just that artifical sugar taste too strong... I probably wont use it again, be.comse I cant find much info on people using Sodium Saccharin as their sweetener, all I seem to find is sucralose. Just wanted to see how it went. If it was diluted in some VG it would probably be ok. Ill have to get some sucralose liquid online or something to try.

I got this exact one myself last week from coles. I first tried it out in a separate bottle and mixed a bit with JW strawberry e-juice. It was very sweet ..but I only mixed a small batch. So I thought if I put in 1 or 2 drops to the 10ml bottle..it should be right. WRONG lol! Well.. not too bad. But way too sweet..and kinda overtook the strawberry flavour a bit. I can still taste strawberry. Just not as good as it was originally. So am wary now about adding sweetener to anything. I'm interested in the one VK talked about..but wonder if this would be much the same.
I haven't had any burnt taste like u've described tho.

I dont think it was a burnt taste now, just an overpowered artificial sweet sickly taste lol. I just mixed up another 10 ml of my DIY juice and added about 1/2 a drop to the 10 ml. This is alot better, sweeter but not sickly like the first one. Seems to be exactly what my juice has been missing. Probably 1 drop would be great for a 30ml mix. Ill keep playing around with it.

Good good! So it hasn't taken away the flavour of the original juice at all? Geez it's powerful stuff then for it to only need that much!

It has changed the flavour a little, the vapour feels sweeter in my mouth and sort of masks the other flavours a little I suppose. I think once we work out the right amount to use we should be able to find a good balance. I might try adding a drop or two to 10ml of VG to dilute it a little, then just put a drop or two of the sweet vg into my DIY mixes untill it tastes just right.
