I was browsing for some friends (who want to get started) last week and this looked like good value :

    Aspire K1 Starter Kit

Don't take my word for it though (I'm no hardware expert). See what others think first.

BTW, I'd also get two extra tanks. You'll be wanting to try different juices ind it's good to have more than one tank for this (don't mix flavors/brands of eJuice in the same tank).

Oh, and also get a spare battery. I'd go for a "passthrough" one, becomse you can vape on it while it's charging.

But don't spend too much money untill you get comfortable with vaping.

    G'day TJ.
good place to look would be in the new vapers section of the forum.the top of it is chock full of sticky threads full of all kinds of good information about starter kits and explaining some of the weird dialect vapers have created for what we do.
Best spot i would suggest is This Thread
.has links to other good threads in it and all in it

I've been told that this is a great kit. I have a friend at work who only buys Aspire products, but is looking to get a Kangertech soon. She LOVES Aspire and definitely suggested that's what I invest in when I get a good set up.

Hi! I recommend the following kits:
    • Halo Triton Tank System priced at $49.95
    • Joyetech eGo One priced at $49.99
    • Smok X-Cube II priced at $69.95
    • Kanger Subox Mini priced at $68.95
    For e-juice or flavours:
    • Churrios by the Milkman
    • Creme Brûlée by Jimmy the Juice Man
    I hope this helps!

Thanks for the information. I researched about the JoyTech eGo and it looks interesting to me and the price is also affordable. I would definitely buy it.

Yes, I agree with you. You should only spend money when you are comfortable with it. If you are an ex-smoker, you will need to learn to defeat the urges and you need to habituate yourself to vaping. Then you can spend money on vaping.

Is buying an extra battery worth it, or should I go for a car charger instead? I have been quite conflicted about this decision for some time. Also read on this forum that keeping batteries on my person may be a bad idea? Your experiences / suggestions?

That depends very much on how much you used to smoke before, how many cigarettes a day, how strong it was?
Just go with the extra battery, it's better. You won't have car access every time your battery life's go down, but with an extra battery, you would replace it at any time and moment given, unless you have your car to charge or not.

My first e-cig was the Joyetch eGo and I've had nothing but positive reviews about it. If you are looking into affordable and reliable e-cigs, I would definitely invest in a Joyetech eGo.
