Just came across this article in the New England Journal of Medicine that states basicly that High voltage vapeing can produce a lot of Formaldehyde in the vapour we are inhaling. I usually vape at around 3.8 to 4V, do any of you vape at 5V or more?

Here is a link to the article: MMS: Error

I'm not an expert but I don't think it's as simple as high voltage comses Formaldehyde in all cases. It depends on the topper and resistance of the coil I think? It's about temperature I'm told?

The dry hit phenomenon can occur for several reasons and I believe becomse this was a machine experiment, this unpleasant vape experience could not be recognised by the machine and therefore they kept on going. This would not happen in the real world.

Dr Farsalinos is doing a study on this at the moment utilising real world situations.

    its been discussed before,
But one of the ways others got the same levels was heating a coil to 600 degrees Celsius.
just alittle perspective the melting point of Plutonium is 640c.

Matt from suck my mod did a good video were he acutally tried vaping at their specs
No normal vaper in their right fkn mind would vape that hot

Sorry for making a new thread on a subject already discussed, I searched for the posts in the search function at the top right of the page and it returned nothing. So I didn't think it had been discussed.
    Cheers

No need to be sorry, good that you ask about things like this. I find the forum search can be a little hit and miss so sometimes things get repeated. All good.

Better off using google and appending "sitecomssievapers.com" in the search string
