Okay, so here goes, 44 yo smoker (started when i was 11),
smoke about 20-30 a day, looking to get my first vaping device.

Have read a little on here (especially so you want a starter kit
thread -probably need an update, maybe?)

Im hoping someone can give me some advice on the best start up option

    Two ive looked at are:

The VapeKing Deluxe Starter kit ($79)
    VK Deluxe Starter Kit

And the Joytech Ego One XL ($55)
JOYETECH EGO ONE XL 2200Mah Starter Kit – Wick And Wire Co.

What im interested in are opinions on the best of the two with a particular slant
towards which is the cheapest to maintain..i have seen that its relatively easy to
rebuild the coil for the VapeKing one, only heard rumours that the Joytech one can
    be rebuilt.

If anyone has the energy to go beyond the two above and suggest a reasonably cost
effective rebuildable solution id be happy. Im more interested in reducing ongoings
than getting into all the gadget wankery that seems to obsess some people :)

I just want to not eat smoke any more and pay the bloody taxman :)

Im looking to purchase within the next week or so.

Thanks in advance for any advice/help

as much as i love Vapeking.

Joytech Ego One is the better device hands down.
For the price you cant go wrong.

The only other advice i could give it, the Eleaf Istick is a good device with something like kanger Subtank mini.
That would be more pricey then the Ego one but would allow you to start with Premade coils and transition to rebuilables when you feel ready.

Put your location in your profile, you never know if someone lives close and can help you out.
    The ego one looks good.
If I was starting out now, I'd buy an istick 30watt, and a Silo Tank, with a packet of spare BVC .comtilus coils.
    Simple to use and effective.
Buy some juice with nicotine in it from NZ. Get 18mg/ml strength. So you can use it without diluting.
Unflavoured 50%pg and 50% vg, 120ml or more. You can buy flavour locally.
In 3 months when you need more you'll be experienced enough to sort out what you need.

I also say try the iStick 30w, but you may want to look at the Kanger Subtank Mini, since it's available at both the sites you've linked to, while the Silo doesn't appear to be. Unless, of course, you're not limiting your purchase to those two websites.

I started on a very similar kit to the Vapeking one, with the same ego batteries, and EVOD tank. While they did the trick for a few months, in my opinion you will get more options and far better quality out of an iStick 30w + Subtank Mini/Silo for fairly similar price.

    Hope this helps!

Thanks for all the advice so far

I have to say i prefer the look of the Joytech Ego ONE XL over a squat little rectangular box that looks like something from a chinatown $2 shop :)

But, the $53 iStick + $35 Kanger Subtank Mini (which comes with the rebuildable coil), a big plus over the Joytech - $50 for the One XL+ $40 for the Delta II + $40 for the RBA addon)

Okay i think im almost certainly going with the .comdy looking rectangular box option :)

Im assuming it will function as well as the Joytech, which had great reviews.

I was originally thinking about the Vamo v6, but then i had a horrible flashback to HR Puffinstuff be.comse it looks too much like Jimmy's magic flute :0

Bonus points if you get the HR Puffinstuff flute reference...thats going to leave out anyone under 30 :)

I am by no means an expert having only started vaping myself five weeks ago but the first thing I regretted after buying my starter kit, was not getting a twin pack, or at least a second battery. One to use while the other is charging.
