HI everyone, my last post was in 2011 the year I started vaping and the year I quit smoking after 35years. I was tobacco free and ecig free completely for nearly 3 and a half years but have had a relapse and have been smoking again for the last 3 months.. I was doing so well too and am so so disappointed in myself :( I blame in on weakness in extremely difficult circumstances. I've had relationship issues, my mum has dementia, my dad is not well, one of my boys has issues and then my partners business collapsed and he ended up in detox(alchole) etc. I suppose its no excuse really but everyone around me was smoking. I started off with a drag here and there then it became more and more. Im smoking about 15 rollies a day and have started back on my ecigs which I kept and only needed to buy one battery so far as all my others still working. Lets hope I can kick it again as I really am unhappy I have taken the habit up again.

Welcome back, Micama7. It would be quite bewildering now to see all the changes and developments and the impressive yet comnting amount of choice in equipment which has evolved since 2011. Really glad you're getting back into it. Couldn't be a better time! Sorry to hear you've been through a tough time.. hopefully you'll get all the information and support you need to get back in the vaping saddle from the community here :) Good luck with it and all the other stuff too!

Your so right, its like a minefield out there now. I still have batteries from my Rivas that are actually working still after all these years and only needed to buy one more. Im finding it hard with the new bits and pieces like cartomizers, clearomizers etc so have stuck with my atomizers. I have only ordered new ejuice tonight (still have a supply from ages ago), dont know if its okay to vape them but they taste like before so giving them a whirl in between my rollies. It took me 3 months last time to give up and I travelled overseas during that time vaping on the plane ( in the loo) and whenever else I needed to. I was smoking herbal cigs occasionally as well and found that worked for me. Hopefully this time around it will be easy again. Fingers crossed

Do yourself a big favour here & get some newer gear!
The stuff around these days is leaps & bounds ahead of what you have & will make the transition a lot smoother & easier.

PS - 3.5 years off the smokes is pretty damn good, look at picking them up again as a small & given the circumstances justified bump in the road.

I agree with Tony. You will find it much, much easier to forget the smokes if you have some decent gear. After messing around with dripping and all sorts of fancy gear I've come back to the basics....which are extremely effective now.

I use 1000mAh Ego batteries and Kanger Genitanks with replaceable atomisers. Couldn't be simpler and they are cheap and perfectly satisfying.

Thanks for the encouragement and tips :) I've already been checking out the new gadgets. I still have atomizers, cartridges and batteries to keep me going for awhile so have ordered some juices to get back into it. 3mg nic and 0mg. Wow what a lot of variety now, its like walking into a candy/fruit store. :) and so many sellers its hard to decide where is the best place to buy from. I was never a heavy vaper and used to smoke only rollies with filters. I have already cut back on my rollies by a third so happy with that. Only been a week so fingers crossed. My partner gave up cold turkey for 7 years and has been smoking again for the last 2 years. He also wants to give up but wont give vaping a go. :( maybe once my new flavors arrive I will give him a puff and hopefully
he will like what he tastes. Till later happy vaping :)
