I have had a rDna 40 for ages and finally got some nickel wire to test it out, and man it's awesome. Made a coil pretty much half pissed and came out at .21 ohms with 30 comge with Ni200. Using it on a squapeR+ at 20W limited to 460Deg F
My question is what are you guys finding your sweet spot at with temp, resistance and wattage. I realise everyone is different but i'm keen to see what other people are doing as to hone my skills sooner. Any help would be great. Please let me know any other tricks you have learnt.
I built the coil so the wire doesn't touch the next wrap only becomse what I have seen on the net but is actually necessary? Can the wraps touch like a normal kanthal build?

What i've found is that the resistance is more accurate (theirfor the temp) when it's a non contact coil i use a 2.5mm screw becomse the 30ga fits into the thread perfectly,

my build that i've used for about 2months (rebuilt 3 times)

    Kayfun4 clone,
7/8 wraps of 30ga comes out to 0.18 or 0.19
    Vaping 50/50 at 16w and 430DegF

VapourFlask is great as i can watch the temp while vaping to know what temp feels like and dial it in easier.

Yeah i really struggle with non contact coils untill i came across that tip on a youtube vid, becomse you can keep it tight like you would for a contact coil :)
