So just back this morning and though I'd post about the current situation in Bali. I was a bit nervous going over as I had seen some articles saying ecigs were banned and I couldn't go two weeks without a puff. Some AVF members reassured me, and of course, they were right. Although vaping is not big in Bali yet, it is catching on, and the Balinese are very curious about them.

I packed almost everything (except batteries which were in my carry-on) in my checked luggage. I was prepared to lose anything in my carry-on, but breezed through customs without an issue. I took my two isticks, figuring they wouldn't know what they were anyway, and my microstick for the same reason. A couple of egos, a couple of mini comts and K1's and I was set. Accidentally left my ADV at home, but apart from getting a bit sick of the same 3 flavours, it was all very simple. The only VG juice that I took leaked like crazy even from the bottle which was fully sealed and not sure why that would be the case. The PG ones were fine.

Bali have two B & M shops. I got to the one in Kerobokan, which is a very slick set-up. Their e-juice is all from France, and quite nice. I was able to sample every single juice, with no pressure to buy as they didn't have my strength in stock. They are in the process of sourcing from the US as well. Friendly staff. All their products were the higher end of the scale, no cheapies, and several different mods in stock (though probably clones). Lots of aspire stuff, at probably 30% higher than we can buy them here. Not a cigalike to be seen.

On the street many street vendors are selling simple CE5 kits for $10. They couldn't believe that I could get them cheaper than they could, but almost everywhere they got me to show them how they work. And tried to get me to buy their CE5, cos you just 'need another one'. Got sick of explaining how much better mine were.

In Bali, vape is pronounced var-pay. I though the guy who told me this was saying puffy until he wrote it down for me :)

So if you're going to Bali you should be fine with your gear.

Awesome, thanks for this write-up. I've just started vaping in the last week and I'll be in Bali in March. I was curious about all this too, cheers!

Hi mate im heading to thailand in june ,i have joined a forum called thai vapers which is made up of ex pats who vape there and although it is illegal to import vaping gear they get by with some quite good ideas ,there are a few vendor sin thailand but dont openly advertise and normally can only be contacted via facebook for orders ect .As for vaping as a foreign tourist it seems to be fine and bsically follow the same rules as if you were smoking as i become more familiar on the site i may try to introduce some of the options we have here ie local vendors ,but like most asian countries everything has to be regi mail with sig or it aint gonna get there trust me i know .They do have some of them who deal with american vendors and some who even diy but they seem to use food flavourings with some dismall end results ,
I seriously think i would hesitate buying somthing from a street seller there and only deal with e juice makers who have a rep on the forum ,it is a strange situation as there is a place that sells vaping gear in one of the malls and uses a lot of american vendors MBV is one but yet it is ilegal to import ,but thats thailand who understands it .
