Rod the first thing I would do is research the pages here on the newbies forum , as is my usual form I would recommend anyone starting vaping steer clear from the look a like e-cigs ... they can often be frustrating , instead I will trot out the oft mentioned ego battery and clearomiser combination You can also look at ego battery and vivi nova or cartos and tank set ups .
There are many local vendors who do great starter kits , Vapebar, vapeking, vapingMad , ecigmodshop, ozvape,ecigs SA , just to name a few ... any of the vendors in our vendor section will be able to kit you out ... you will however need to get nicotine eliquid from overseas , ascomstralian Law prohibits sales of nicotine liquid by retailers here ( Boo Hisscomssie Govt ! ) this is more a " we cant figure out how to tax it , so we banned it until we can " move rather than the public health issue they try to hide it under .

If you can wait a little bit you can order ALL you need from overseas vendors at the same time as you order liquid , ( but I do recommend looking after local dealers )

I am sure Noe will not mind me pinching one of his lists to give you an idea of a first shopping list lol
here is an example of his recommendations for a vivi nova complete set-up and eliquids for your first foray into DIY eliquid

Of course you can just buy bottles of premixed liquid , as you are a mid to heavy smoker, I would recommend at least 18 to 24 mg nicotine concentration .
You can also just add vision clearomisers for an easy to fill and vape solution too

Nic juice, normally 1 of these but with xmas coming 2 might be a better idea, I would normally say get the 36mg PG base (75%PG+25%VG) but if they have no stock of that right now instead get 36mg 100%PG :

Then you will need some doublers from ancomssie vendor, use a Vendor like VapeKing, Vaping Mad or JuiceWhore but the pre-mixed juice you will be getting at HC will be enough to keep you going for 2-3 weeks at least, so you can try your new toys for a week before needing to order doublers & other bits you may want.



Good luck , and dont be too hard on yourself at the start , you can have a few dhurries while getting used to it all , but hopefully you will soon prefer vaping to smoking , and the ciggies will be a memory

Just like to quickly mention it's my one month anniversary since smoking my last cigarette on 2/12/2012. I have absolutely zero desire to smoke tobacco and I'm loving the vaping. I'd imagine a cigarette would taste like arse to me now.

As a heavy smoker for many years who just lost a younger sister to the effects of smoking with severe asthma, I'm interested to find out what it's all about & if it would be an option for me - who really loves her smoking!

I really loved my smoking too! In fact, I did not plan to quit with e-cigs, it just naturally happened. Here's my first thread I wrote about my experiences. You don't have to give up anything, that's the great news! Just add to your recreational nicotine enjoyment, until it just becomes better than smoking. Are you near me in Ballarat?

Ok, some of my juice and kit arrived today. My kids have accused me of setting up a drug lab - which, I guess, is exactly what it is.

All I want to say is that the ego-c is dead easy to use. I stuck a stardust ego clearomiser on one and it vapes bcomtifully. Of course I probably don't know what a bcomtiful vape is yet, but this is the best experience so far. I'm loving this.

The Greensmoke kit on the far right is probably not going to be used by me any more. Although I did crack open a used greensmoke cartridge today and dripped in some healthcabin tobacco juice. Works a treat. So the old Greensmoke kit might be used by me to test new flavours. We'll see.

Good call, too about the stuff you might not use. I keep my 510s just in case. I use the batteries all the time, but never know when I'll need to do tanks again.

I am Leighanne, new to the forum and new to smoking e cigarettes. I just need a little help - My husband bought it for me a few days ago and I cannot find any information about it. There's a picture of an eagle and the box says e-vapor. I'm assuming one lot of refills came with the box (that say eagle no nicotine) and there is another refill packet he bought extra that say tiger no nicotine. Is there anyone who can help me to understand what the difference is between both refills and if there is definitely no nicotine in them?
