Hey, am new to forum, quit smoking last oct using e cigs, have been very successful, am vaping green smoke, I realise after having a browse and receiving a msg that I am a 1st generation vaper, not really sure what that is and was hoping perhaps someone would kindly inform me? What is a 2nd and 3rd, benefits? Quality? Where to buy? I buy my cartridges from the US online, is fairly costly, would love to pay less if the vape, throat kick and flavour was as good. I was never a high milligram smoker but found in order to get the kick similar to my 4mg I am having to buy the strongest nicotine cartridges but am probs less addicted(cravings not bad) than I was to the 4mg, which makes me wonder??? Just loved smoking analogues, but vaping has made it so easy for me to quit, I have never felt this committed and know I will never return to the latter, I enjoy not smelling like an ashtray but still love to hang with the smokers which I can, as that's where the best place to meet people is! Suggestions would be very appreciated

 

It's the ciga likes that are first generation. They are the earliest incarnation of a vaporizer. The shortest battery life the least cost effective (long term) and the weakest vapor and throat hit.
Modern vaporizers or APVs ( advances personal vaporizers ) use bigger, better, longer lasting batteries and accept a wide range of cartomizers, tanks and atomizers that deliver larger juice capacity, better flavor and much greater throat hit a vapor production.

Also just wondered if you know much about flavour, used to smoke b and h tailormades?

Another newbie here, Saw a link to this forum over on Whirlpool and signed up, have been lurking and reading up over the last few days Have tried almost all other chemist forms of quit smoking techniques (apart from hypnotherapy) Champix was the only one that worked (and only for 6 months until I got back onto the sticks) so figured that these fandangled e-cigs might be my best shot

Grabbed the VK deluxe starter pack and two boge f16s in the last week and have been puffing away on the menthol eucalypt doubler - still on the smokes, but have a Mt Baker order due to arrive on Monday, so that's when I'm planning to stop them. Haven't fired up the boge tanks yet, will do when I have the Mt Baker order though. Also grabbed some PG & VG from VK through the week so will have a go at making the doubler 70/30 or 60/40 for something to do today...

Anyhoo, hi again, am going back to lurking now hehe

Hi All,
Recently heard about e cigs and a girl at work got me interested, been trying to quit for a while and this looks like a winner.
Jumped in the deep end as such a couple weeks back, have little to no idea about anything and trying to wrap my head around it all.
Bought a couple Itaste VV's and a bunch of Kanger T3S clearomisers and a whole heap of juice from Vapeking and Mt Baker Vapor.
Certainly some odd flavours but happy to say that whilst I am still trying to get used to all this, at least I haven't had a cigarette now for a couple weeks, so I figure I am doing something right.
Looking forward to learning all about how this works and staying of the analgues!
Fair warning now - I will prolly be askig lots of questions and picking your brains be.comse I have convinced about 5 other people to go E with me and they are just as keen as I am but they are looking to me for info LOL could be interesting!

 

Sounds like you've done pretty well so far Steve, got some decent gear, and a range of juices, a very good start Ask whatever questions you like, we're a pretty friendly bunch here, and there's nearly always someone here that can give you some answers. You'll usually find the WA crew here later than everyone else, as well as a couple of our resident night owls.

Hi, I am GooseGirl, been sandbaging this forum for a while, interesting group, I am from Howrah Tas. I am a nurse, been vaping since Nov 2013, I quit smoking some 7 years ago but due to some stress factors I busted and went back to the horrid habit. Thanks to a local dealer in Hobart whom I am not sure if I can name, I am now safely off the smelly things and happily vaping. I have recommended vaping to many of my co-workers. I am also into trying to mix my own e-juice and am looking for help as to where to buy decent concentrates as some I have sourced from Oz have been too weak. I have tried the Fusion brand given to me by a friend and even at 40% find it very weak in flavour.

vapingzone has some super consentrates (there US and pricey) have you tired vapeking or any of the local vendors? theres a subforum for them in here. Others on here will know better than I and no doubt will be here to offer suggestions
