I was similar, I'd been on patches for about a month and cut down heaps but didn't stop completely till I got the spray as well, I hasn't smoked for about two weeks by the time I was vaping, I knew I'd crack eventually when stressed or drinking and figured it was a better fall back than caving and buying a pack of stinkies and it's worked, best decision ever or I'd be back to smoking by now and I'd be really down on myself about it to. It's a time consuming venture but once you get your head around everything and find your flavors, vendors, and you find what way you want to go about it you get on a roll and it's just a matter of putting in an order now and then so you don't run out. It may get expensive if you want all the new shiny toys but even then it's still got to be cheaper than smoking. I'll have to do a tally on what I've spent on ecigs and saved in stinkies one day. ;)

    Welcome new members.

Yes it's that time of the thread again, for "Noe's List".

The below is a re-post but I like to keep it easy to find for new vapers or potential new vapers, be.comse it helps if you know what you need to get started:

IMO what you want for your initial order is a 1-stop-shop, where you can get everything you need in 1 order.
Regardless of what you decide to order, this makes things very simple & means everything arrives at the same time, so you can get into it immediately you open it(well almost, make sure the batts are charged first).

For the same reason I recommend Health Cabin for first orders, they have a large range of products, they ship reliably(choose EMS shipping & you will usually have you goods in a week, 2 at most), their customer service is very good & their prices are good too. Plus they have everything you need, including nic juice to get you started.

    Essentials:
    Kit
I think the best solution for a new vaper is an entry level device, which will serve as a back up should you have problems with your mod later on, like these kits:
eGo K Vision Compact Kit V2 in 30 styles [02-F] - $18.99 : Healthcabin Electronic Cigarettes - Wholesale and Retail two of these kits will have, 2 chargers( a spare in case one fails) 2 clearomisers & 2 batteries, all you really need to start vaping minus the juice.

    Juice
Next you will want some juice my recommendation is 10x 10ml, 18mg/ml, pre-mixed juices in various flavors:
    Dekang E-juice/E-liquid for Ecigarette
    or
HC E-Juice/E-Liquid : Healthcabin Electronic Cigarettes - Wholesale and Retail
Then also get some unflavored nic in 36mg/ml, 75/25 PG/VG, which you can mix later with canuk made doublers, so 1 or 2 x 115ml bottles:
    115ml HC Unflavored E-liquid [Z8 HC Unflavored 115ml] - $11.00 : Healthcabin Electronic Cigarettes - Wholesale and Retail

    Optional devices:
If you want to stop there, you can & will be able to start vaping with just what is above or if you want to try different clearomisers/tanks etc then these are some good ones to try:
3.5ml Ismoka BCC(Bottom Coil Changeable) Mega Clear Cartomizer [03-3A-4321] - $11.00 : Healthcabin Electronic Cigarettes - Wholesale and Retail
    5pc New CE3 Bottom Coil 510 Clearomizers [05-C-12] - $10.50 : Healthcabin Electronic Cigarettes - Wholesale and Retail
Innokin iClear 30 Dual Coil Clearomizer with replaceable coil (Crystal Gift Box) [05-H-3-2] - $10.00 : Healthcabin Electronic Cigarettes - Wholesale and Retail
Vision eGo Clearomizer V3 (Exchangeable & Detachable)

While not an absolute "must have" these come in handy sometimes for your eGo type batteries:
    500mA USB Power Adapter/Charger (US/EU/UK.com plug) [05-A-2-2] - $3.50 : Healthcabin Electronic Cigarettes - Wholesale and Retail

    Items for mixing
A bottle of PG & a bottle of VG will come in handy if you need to dilute your juice later on & it is cheap to grab a bottle of each at the same time:
    115ml PROPYLENE GLYCOL USP(PG) [Z4 115ml PG] - $3.50 : Healthcabin Electronic Cigarettes - Wholesale and Retail
115ml Vegetable Glycerin USP (VG) [Z4 115ml VG] - $3.50 : Healthcabin Electronic Cigarettes - Wholesale and Retail
Some empty mixing bottles will also come in handy, perhaps 4x 30ml & 4x 10ml to start with:
    Empty Ejuice Bottle(childproof) [06-D-23] - $0.25 : Healthcabin Electronic Cigarettes - Wholesale and Retail
A syringe is also a good idea to grab for measuring liquids & refilling some kinds of clearos etc, I would grab one of each size:
    E-juice Injector(1ml 2.5ml 5ml 10ml) Ejuice Injector /syringe [06-D-1-1] - $0.25 : Healthcabin Electronic Cigarettes - Wholesale and Retail
You will also want blunt tipped needles for your syringes, 4 of these, Long(XL) type:
Blunt needle for syringe [05-D-2-1] - $0.15 : Healthcabin Electronic Cigarettes - Wholesale and Retail

    Devices not recommended
I DO NOT recommend v2cigs, overpriced, cigalikes for anyone!
If you want a cigalike, HealthCabin also stock them, look for a 510 manual starter kit. It will be much cheaper & perform the same as the more expensive V2cig kit but these will not work anywhere near as well as the gear I listed above.
If you decide you still want a cigalike & get the 510 kit, I recommend using these to put your juice in for vaping:
    5pc New CE3 Bottom Coil 510 Clearomizers [05-C-12] - $10.50 : Healthcabin Electronic Cigarettes - Wholesale and Retail

Hi guys , I'm new to vaping it's been 3 weeks since I got my Vamo & pro tank 2. I have to say that vaping is frickin awesome , lovin the different flavor's.
I've been a smoker for 22yrs and felt it was time for a change. My juices now have nic in them and I have to say it's been 3 days since I've had a ciga.
I meet a guy on the weekend at an archery tournament that was vaping , gave him a thumbs up & said way to go , he was the only other person I've seen vaping at this time , I may have converted a few work mates time will tell. Thanks for reading :peaceful:

    Welcome Spanner.
Good stuff mate, especially getting through your first 3 days, sometimes vaping needs getting a little used to. You will love exploring all the different flavors out there. To help you get on, just make sure you always have a charged battery !

After about 2 weeks you will come to the realization that you can beat the habit easily. After about 4 weeks you really can't see yourself smoking ever again and being around other smokers will not bother you in the slightest apart from the smell of ciggies. It will seem to smell awful ! At least this has been my experience. Your general health and sense of taste will begin recovering after about a month off the analogues.

Just wait till you want to start a collection of what they call on this forum "shinies" (mods etc) ha ha.
    Cheers

Hi all, been vaping for almost 3 months now since i got an Mvp from Slowtech. I'm Perth based, have 2 kiddies (my biggest reason for beginning to vape) and I am slowly converting my friends one by one. Dropped the ciggies completely 4 days after starting vaping. Been on the forum for a month or so and have already felt the great hospitality of the members (Bethydy in particular, who helped out big time with some juices when I was in need, absolute lifesaver). Everyones patience with questions is an absolute draw in to new vapers and old alike, which makes it feel like a proper community. Thanks everyone in advance for any questions I have lol.

    Cheers!!

Hi all , just checking out all the vaping info online before I get my vaporiser and juice on Monday. Smoked cigarettes for 20 years and hate it, have tried everything to give up, hoping this will save my life. So much info out there, it's really overwhelming. Happy I found your forum though, lots of good info. :)

Welcome MsWallis ...... If you stick with, then yes it will save your life and there are great peoples on this forum who will help you along the way (just like they have helped and given advice to me). Do not think any question is too stupid to ask, we all have to start somewhere. Have a read of my post in reply to Spanner (about 5 or 6 posts ago I think) this will let you know what to expect. Ha ha.

You have opened a new door and will have a ball with it all !
    Cheers

    Hi MsWallis,

Welcome to the forum and to your new life. You're right there is an overwhelming amount of information to learn, but it won't take long.
Just remember if you have any questions don't be shy. Do a search in the search panel first if you can't find something that makes sense, post a question via the the corresponding forum.

Just don't give up, if you're not finding it a breeze to not think about cigs, then you need to get either a better device or ejuice.

In my opinion juice is the number one thing that will keep you off the analogs. Find a taste that suites you personally with enough nic to supply your body, so no cravings and your on your way.

Congratulations of the desire to give up smoking and again welcome. ;)

    Hi all,

Thought it would be best to introduce myself. I have been vaping for around 3 months or so and loving every minute of it. I was a smoker for 14 years and had all sorts of trouble trying to give up, I am glad I have finally found something that works :)

I am in Rockhampton, QLD so feel free to shout out if you are around :)

    Cheers,

    Dan
