Hi everyone :) Today is the day. I put my very first nicotine patch on and am enjoying my non nicotine vaping quite a lot! Sorry to be a pain, I know these questions have probably been asked before but I can't find any info about it...how do I get an avatar? I've been to my profile and clicked on the image but can't find a way to upload an avatar? Any help would be very much appreciated. Hope you're all having a nice morning!

EDIT: Nevermind, figured it out hahaha.

    Welcome, and good luck!

Vaping 0 nicotine while wearing patches is an expensive way to do it if it's long term, however others having combined traditional NRT with 0 nic vaping successfully and given up smoking.

If you have trouble, consider vaping nicotine since you can fine tune how much nicotine you are getting and reduce it slowly over many months. You'll definitely know by about day three if it's going to work for you, since the patches only have a very low level of nicotine.

I took the coward's way out and started vaping 24 mg/ml liquid nearly 5 months ago, and am now down to 12 mg/ml and vape much less.

Hi :) thanks. Fortunately these patches are very cheap - a months supply of the 24 hour 21mg patches only costs me $5.90 per month as I got them on prescription (3 month script).

Will consider nic liquid if this doesn't work. Good on you for giving up, 5 months is EPIC!!!

    Hi,

I'm new to the forum but I've been vaping for a few months, it seems like a helpful place so I thought I'd sign up.

    Welcome new members.

The below is a re-post but I like to keep it easy to find for new vapers or potential new vapers, be.comse it helps if you know what you need to get started:

IMO what you want for your initial order is a 1-stop-shop, where you can get everything you need in 1 order.
Regardless of what you decide to order, this makes things very simple & means everything arrives at the same time, so you can get into it immediately you open it(well almost, make sure the batts are charged first).

For the same reason I recommend Health Cabin for first orders, they have a large range of products, they ship reliably(choose EMS shipping & you will usually have you goods in a week, 2 at most), their customer service is very good & their prices are good too. Plus they have everything you need, including nic juice to get you started.

    Essentials:
    Kit
I think the best solution for a new vaper is an entry level device, which will serve as a back up should you have problems with your mod later on, like these kits:
eGo K Vision Compact Kit V2 in 30 styles [02-F] - $18.99 : Healthcabin Electronic Cigarettes - Wholesale and Retail two of these kits will have, 2 chargers( a spare in case one fails) 2 clearomisers & 2 batteries, all you really need to start vaping minus the juice.

    Juice
Next you will want some juice my recommendation is 10x 10ml, 18mg/ml, pre-mixed juices in various flavors:
    Dekang E-juice/E-liquid for Ecigarette
    or
HC E-Juice/E-Liquid : Healthcabin Electronic Cigarettes - Wholesale and Retail
Then also get some unflavored nic in 36mg/ml, 75/25 PG/VG, which you can mix later with canuk made doublers, so 1 or 2 x 115ml bottles:
    115ml HC Unflavored E-liquid [Z8 HC Unflavored 115ml] - $11.00 : Healthcabin Electronic Cigarettes - Wholesale and Retail

    Optional devices:
If you want to stop there, you can & will be able to start vaping with just what is above or if you want to try different clearomisers/tanks etc then these are some good ones to try:
3.5ml Ismoka BCC(Bottom Coil Changeable) Mega Clear Cartomizer [03-3A-4321] - $11.00 : Healthcabin Electronic Cigarettes - Wholesale and Retail
    5pc New CE3 Bottom Coil 510 Clearomizers [05-C-12] - $10.50 : Healthcabin Electronic Cigarettes - Wholesale and Retail
Innokin iClear 30 Dual Coil Clearomizer with replaceable coil (Crystal Gift Box) [05-H-3-2] - $10.00 : Healthcabin Electronic Cigarettes - Wholesale and Retail
Vision eGo Clearomizer V3 (Exchangeable & Detachable)

While not an absolute "must have" these come in handy sometimes for your eGo type batteries:
    500mA USB Power Adapter/Charger (US/EU/UK.com plug) [05-A-2-2] - $3.50 : Healthcabin Electronic Cigarettes - Wholesale and Retail

    Items for mixing
A bottle of PG & a bottle of VG will come in handy if you need to dilute your juice later on & it is cheap to grab a bottle of each at the same time:
    115ml PROPYLENE GLYCOL USP(PG) [Z4 115ml PG] - $3.50 : Healthcabin Electronic Cigarettes - Wholesale and Retail
115ml Vegetable Glycerin USP (VG) [Z4 115ml VG] - $3.50 : Healthcabin Electronic Cigarettes - Wholesale and Retail
Some empty mixing bottles will also come in handy, perhaps 4x 30ml & 4x 10ml to start with:
    Empty Ejuice Bottle(childproof) [06-D-23] - $0.25 : Healthcabin Electronic Cigarettes - Wholesale and Retail
A syringe is also a good idea to grab for measuring liquids & refilling some kinds of clearos etc, I would grab one of each size:
    E-juice Injector(1ml 2.5ml 5ml 10ml) Ejuice Injector /syringe [06-D-1-1] - $0.25 : Healthcabin Electronic Cigarettes - Wholesale and Retail
You will also want blunt tipped needles for your syringes, 4 of these, Long(XL) type:
Blunt needle for syringe [05-D-2-1] - $0.15 : Healthcabin Electronic Cigarettes - Wholesale and Retail

    Devices not recommended
I DO NOT recommend v2cigs, overpriced, cigalikes for anyone!
If you want a cigalike, HealthCabin also stock them, look for a 510 manual starter kit. It will be much cheaper & perform the same as the more expensive V2cig kit but these will not work anywhere near as well as the gear I listed above.
If you decide you still want a cigalike & get the 510 kit, I recommend using these to put your juice in for vaping:
    5pc New CE3 Bottom Coil 510 Clearomizers [05-C-12] - $10.50 : Healthcabin Electronic Cigarettes - Wholesale and Retail

Hi Everyone, my wife and I looked into e cigs as a means too quit smoking. In my wifes case a necessity due to big C issues, she was a packet a day for past 25-30 years, was doing the gum thing but I could tell it wasnt going to be enough, sneaking the odd drag, sneaking the odd fag, irritable and generally a PITA, I needed a solution. In my case, a packet a day smoker off and on for 30 years, best off has been 4 years with 6 months here n there 6 weeks here n there. For wifey too quit and get better, it was a gimme for myself to give it ago albeit reluctantly, maybe its selfish but have always preferred making my own choices. We invested in a couple of the eGo Kangertech tanky thingos with some 18mg tobacco zero for myself and 8mg liqua menthol for the lovely. Thus far she enjoys it and the irritability is ten fold less, win win. We plan to lower the amount of nicotine over some months. Myself, very surprised how instantly I was able to shelve the packet of Marlboro after my initial vape. Thus far vaping is working and many thanks to all the members here for their posts I have been reading the past few weeks.
I do have a few queries that I cant get my head around, probably due to my search capabilities and the vast vast amount of information re e cigs out there, so I will start will a couple of simple ones.

Being a bit of DIY man dabbling in craftbeer, olives, .comsages, jerkys I would prefer to make my own juices and obviously save a shedload of coin at the same time. Given the C word she is experiencing I would prefer to be using organic products, would this be viable and recommendations for a one stop shop would be welcome.

We are travelling to Vietnam south to north soon and was wondering of any issues we may face taking our gear with us?, have tried to search this one but answers have been vague.

Is there a simple "wattage for dummies guide" that may explain the difference between the blue green yellow red? I dont get much change yet she says she does quoting "stronger flavour".

Thats us, k to be here and off the stinkies. Thanks again!

Greetings everyone, and thank you for being here.

I have been lurking for a couple of weeks, on this informative and friendly forum.
It is now time to introduce myself.

Sixty-four years old, I smoked a pipe; several pipes, for 45 years, the previous five, I smoked cigarettes.
I love pipes, and tobacco, collected both in a great number, the feel of the wood, warming my fingers, the smell of a fresh tin of tobacco, exotic, just opened, the first puff, both inhaled, welcome hit, and tasted through my nostrils when exhaling; a great pleasure. Hey! Most have experienced it,
I was ready, to trade a few years of my life for the joy that a good, well filled, well lit pipe, or after a few drink, even a Windfield Red; or anything really.
A few weeks ago, I bought those ecigs, without nic, and a rechargeable pack, resembling the real thing.
I did not like it much, enough still to persevere. .
Then, from the same provider, but now based in NZ, I bought some ‘High Nic’ juice, and somewhere else, an eGo kit.
Then I purchased another eGo, Twist this one, pushing the little ring at the tip to 4.8. Then it started to talk to me.
On uTube, I watched grimmgreens, exhaling large puffs and pbusardo explaining the various cartomisers, steep learning curve.

I am ordering a mod, newbie already using the big words, be.comse I want the throat hit and the nostrils sensation, when it comes back. Evidently, at my stage, I am experiencing with ‘tobacco’ flavours, the ‘French pipe’ was disappointing

Now, so far, I have not found the right juice, early times, impatient, buying around and waiting, I would love an Erinmore equivalent.

    Hi All.

I've been a long time Lurker and thought it was time to sign up. I've been a smoker for roughly 10 year ranging from a pack of Rollins a week to a pack a week. I have always had trouble quitting completely and lately have really been struggling as I work away from home during the week and can't help but smoke. I was buying 3-4 packets a week, smoking 5-10 and throwing them out before buying another pack a day later.

I met a guy while working who had a provari and he gave me some details about getting started and since haven't looked back! Vaping is great! I currently run an ego battery with a protank mini and should have a itaste V3 in the waiting for me when I get back home to sydney, as well as some nice liquid from Vapebar.

I'm really looking forward to the opening of Delicious Monsta! Although I don't think I'll get the early access password being a noob to the forum!

Anyway just wanted to say hi so.... HI! :p

Hi Samtron, it would be nice to know there are other Vapers in my area, plenty smoking the analogs, but I've never seen a single Vaper. Oh well, hopefully I'm gonna start a trend in my little town at the a*se end of the world :)

Hey mate, as far as organic goes, it's not something you really associate with vaping. I guess Vegetable Glycerol could be considered organic, but you are essentially dealing with refined liquids and extracted nicotine, so it makes it a bit hard to grow organically. That being said I'm not sure if anyone sells VG that sources organic raw ingredients.
