I've got a bit skittish of late, so I'm slowly starting to get devices/consumables sorted.

My start so far...

LOL - yeah I'm covering my bases as well as I can. I have to get a mechanical, too at some stage (I still want to learn to build one - I have parts LOL), and an atty checker. That should have me sorted after a fashion, anyway.

I already have an MVP 1 from there but it shorted as soon as I hit the fire button (I presume the green light for about 5 seconds indicates that - I can't think what else it is, given I can't even turn it off now, although the voltage buttons still work). My stepson is going to take the top off it for me later today and have a look - it has to be internal, given that it hasn't changed even without an atty. I'd also replaced the insulator to the firing pin to no avail. Oh, and the dismantle will have to be done extremely carefully. The screw heads are the shittiest things I've ever come across. I'd do it myself, except I'm not game to bugger up those screws, and besides, my bits or allen keys don't fit. And he has Hubby's big set, so we're bound to find something to get this thing cracked with.

Having said that, though, it hasn't stopped me from ordering a couple more. If I can get this fixed, it's all good. Things like this happen, so...

We're lucky enough to have a Jaycar handyish (saved our bacon many a time on the weekends, too!), so if the micro set the young fella's got of ours still isn't the go, it's another fallback. I'll know more later this arvo. Thanks again
