HC is a Chinese company but have been around for a long time & are very reliable. If you have any problem with anything you order from them, they will fix the problem to your satisfaction , without hesitation.

If you are serious about getting off the cancer sticks, then IMO a 510cigalike(or a v2cig which is the same thing just costs more) is not going to be as helpful to facilitate that as the device/kit I have listed but it will likely help you cut down considerably.
About 90% of vapers that start on a cigalike move on to a eGo type device or something bigger within the first month. Once taking up vaping with an eGo type device it is much easier to quit smoking altogether, be.comse the battery lasts a lot longer before needing recharging & the "hit" is stronger due to the bigger battery. More power(up to a point) = better, more satisfying vapor.
.comtomatics frequently have problems of misfiring, not firing when they should, firing when they shouldn't & generally do not last as long(lifespan). Manuals, are more reliable, it does not take long, maybe a day or two, to get used to using a button to vape.

    Where are you located?
Maybe someone is close & can offer to visit or allow you to visit them to help you out.

As for flavors, don't just try tobacco flavors, get a mixture of fruits, mints/menthol, tobacco & beverage or desert type flavors. You will be surprised at what you like to vape, flavor wise.
And don't expect any tobacco flavor to taste like a cigarette does, you can't replicate the taste of 4000+ burning chemicals with flavored steam. Tobaccos try to mimic the flavor you smell of a freshly opened pack of tobacco or smokes, some try to add an ashy taste & just taste like crap.

A 510manual kit is a better place to start, than not starting at all but in 2 weeks time when you are ordering an eGo set up, don't say you weren't warned ;)

Style is the pattern on the batteries, the batteries are all the same rating, they just look different.

This pic shows the different patterns available:

Just thought I'd introduce myself here. I thought vaping was just crappy disposables till a client from work mentioned to me the ellusion ego ecig kit that he got that he was really enjoying so I decided to hop on and order one for myself. Decided to do some research and realized the ellusion ego kit SUCKS being that it's completely overpriced and incompatible with essentially every other ego accessory so luckily I was able to cancel my order in time and decided to do some more research. Settled on a vamo + kanger protank setup that I'm patiently (not really) waiting for :D

    Welcome to Vape.to Outkome.

Good job in avoiding the over priced ellusion junk but even better job in deciding to switch to vaping!
Vamo also needs batteries, i highly recommend using only Japanese made batteries with any PV. You're putting the device up to your face to vape, so it makes sense to have some of the best quality batteries in it.
Although rare, batteries do sometimes catch fire or explode & usually it is cheap quality batts that do this. I use Panasonic or Sanyo batts but there are other Japanese brands that I'd consider equally usable.
Also a good quality charger is recommended, most of the cheap chargers that come in kits are not very good. I use the JetBeam interlicharge i4 Pro, it cost me less than $20 shipped but is one of the best chargers around.

G'day all, I'm a large, grumpy old man living in the hills outside Sydney with a tribe of kids and animals and a missus and whatnot. I'm completely new to the world of vaping, and I have to say, poking around in the forums, that this is gonna be one mean mother of a learning curve! Wicks, coils, mesh oxide, exploding batteries...feel like I need a degree in Engineering just to get started! But I guess that's always the way when you start something new. Found this site through a mutual friend of somebody who I think is a member here.
So I was in the local baccy shop the other day and someone was buying an e-cig, and I decided to buy one too, on impulse. Some rechargeable thing with a few flavoured cartridges thrown in, I'm guessing its a real low-end cheapie job, e-health it was called. I'm really enjoying it though, watching and tasting this really nice clean fog is quite hypnotic, but I was disappointed to learn you have to order nico from overseas (canuk health regulators really need to pull their collective fingers out, IMHO). So I'm here to learn what I can about the types of e-cigs and juices that are available, finding the right rig for me with batteries that actually last more than half an hour (and don't blow up when you recharge them!), and kick the baccy for good.
Looking forward to chatting with y'all and learning what I can!

Hi, large, grumpy old woman here, living on the other side of the country with a kid who might as well be a tribe, and animals...but unfortunately no missus, although god knows I could do with one.

    Welcome. :)

Fodder here. Quit analogues a while back been dicking around with those cig-like efforts - you know the ones, filter cartomizer and light at the end of the battery - for a while until i was in LA last week and visited Vapor-Mart and got myself a smok zmax with viva nova tank and some juices. Stress tested it against some analogues - i wanted to be sure as a 25yr+ smoker that this was better - and trashed the tobacco soon after. So glad this technology exists, but now I'm back i want to mix my own like some crazy alchemist. Any help there appreciated but good to see canuk at the front end of this stuff, even without local nic.

Welcome Fodder.. looks like you're well on the right track. There's been a few really good discussions about diy juice making lately. There's a good few of us who are into it. The doublers we can get here to mix with nic from overseas are as good as any flavours I've tried throughout the world. If you have a look at our approved local vendors section, you'll see that most of them have a liquid section. Some are really useful to DIYers too, especially vaping cobra, who sell a selection of the raw ingredients for flavour making, along with some seriously good concentrates, and their own doubler flavours as well. It's all down to trial and error.. taste is very subjective, so it's a great idea to get a few each day/week/month and just keep trying new things. This place is a good one to get answers to any vape related questions you might have too. Best thing of all, congrats for getting off the ciggies.. that's awesome!!
