Hey all, I go by the name of Erojay. I hail from Canberra,.comS and have been vapeing for about 6 - 8 months now and loved every minute of it

 

Hi everyone, My name is Troy. I have recently moved from Mount Gambier, SA to Murray Bridge, SA. I have been vaping for about 2 years give or take. Have been smoking for most of it. :-(
I have tried 3 times to quit and now on my 4th since vaping. I used to see vaping as a hobby i spose. I enjoy vaping and would LOVE to finally give up the cigarettes, just seem to cave everytime...
In the 2 years i have been vaping i still have not found my "perfect vape", even after going through hundreds of $$ on mods, attys, tanks, juices, etc...
So far this time round i have made it to 30 hours =D (chain vapin 18mg lol)

I'm a health professional too and I love nicotine like I love my caffeine. If you went well with NRT you should love vaping. Unlike NRT, it's tasty and fun and you can do it at work (ssshh!) Feel free to PM me.

Slippy ... I was much like yourself , i spent over 5 years vaping/smoking and looking for perfection ... but there comes a time where you realise perfection doesnt actually exist lol ... you need to enter into a mindset where vaping takes the upper hand , or else its just not going to happen .
Once you enter that mindset , its quite easy to ditch the fags , seriously ! ... but getting to that point takes a bit of dedication lol
When I first discovered vaping , the equipment was nothing like there is today , and it never quite held the upper hand , but nowadays , with all the choices , you are spoilt for it really ... I think perhaps for about 70% of vapers , the transition isnt too harsh , but I think there is that other 30% of which you and I probably belong , where our bodies "love" of tobacco , goes beyond simple nicotine replacement .
This is where the will power does kick in ... and honestly , after a few months of dicking about with the concept last year , I got up one morning and said to myself NO MORE !!! and truly meant it , for the first time ... been smoke free since that day ... love the vape , but the mind is a poweful tool too ... instead of beating yourself up about it , concentrate on getting to a place where you can say ... OK lets give it a real crack

 

Thanks for all the positive comments folks. Really looking forward to getting started. Getting my gear from the shop here in Darwin. I'm sure it's over priced and what not but to be honest it will still pay for itself in less than 2 weeks so I'm not complaining.

 

Hi all,
Only been vaping for a month and haven't smoked for about 3 weeks now after 22 years. Wasn't really looking at giving up smoking as I loved having a smoke, but after seeing my brother smoking an e-cig, I thought I would give it a try and haven't looked back. Must say this thing is costing me an arm and a leg with all the stuff out there, but I'm just crazy that way in that when I first get into something new I just buy, buy, buy.

Just missed out on that Melbourne vape meet. So when's the next one? Love to meet up with you all and see what people are using and vaping.

Rogue, I'm with you on the cost, I was supposed to 'save' money, instead I'm constantly stalking online shops and forums wanting to try new stuff. At least while we are busy buying vaping gear we're off the streets

 

Rad, for sure youtube has been helpful. That and a bit of trial and error it would seem. I'm way down in Melbourne.

 

Yup.. So with you there. Buts its a great hobby. Smoking was a horrible necessity before vaping. Now its opened a whole new world of fun and toys.

But with so much shiny stuff, the saving money part just isnt happening. But Im sure it will in the long run.

What type are you getting?
I hope that you are at least getting some kind of eGo set up & not a cigalike set up, which will end up not being satisfactory most likely. An eGo set up will perform much better & can keep you happy for years without the need for an upgrade.

 

Yeah, I'm being drawn towards the eGo C at the moment, what do you think?

NO NO NO!
That is what we would call a cigalike, most (90% +) vapers that use a cigalike use them for 1-2weeks then upgrade to an eGo or something else bigger. Save some $ & skip the cigalike.
