When you are setting up your profile, its handy to include your general location. Not your address, (unless you are looking to get hooked up). It might be handy further down the track when you may be looking for some assistance. Just a thought.

Hey there fatman,The bowl came away from the mouthpiece in the first one and hit the floor. Probably shouldn't have been holding it in my mouth lol. The second one came out on my brothers bux party.... I think the rest writes itself!!! I may still be using a couple of parts for a DIY project I'm considering, I'll let you know if that doesn't work out and send what's left if its any help to you.

hi guys, new to the forums but not really new to vaping.

 

Gday all,

I just bought my first setup based off what I've read here and on other sites, so I thought now would be a good time to introduce myself.

After finding a brochure about ecigs at a Thai res.comrant of all places, I researched the daylights out of all things vaping related and bought the Vamo, along with a few different cartos, clearos, atomisers, drip tips and of course juice, all from an canuk vendor. I also bought some 100mg juice from RTS vapes. Now, I did read Fatmans' post about newbies mixing concentrated nic-juice, but I'm a chemist. If i can't handle some simple dilutions safely, I really need to reconsider my career. Also, I'm married with no kids, so theres not a lot of risk kids getting to it (and cats can't open fridges...yet).

I bought a wide variety of gear be.comse a) everyone is different and what works for you might not work for me, and b) I really want to get my Dad on these instead of analogs. The problem is, he can be quite fickle; if he doesn't like one tiny thing he could reject the whole thing altogether. One challenge I'm already facing is that he likes Vogue Menthols. These are ultra thin cigarettes (yep, not the manliest of smokers but w/e). He hates normal smokes be.comse 'they feel like logs' in his mouth (insert 'thats what she said' here). So i'll let him trial out my setup and go from there. I'm thinking he'd be happy with ego's, they look much smaller/lighter.

Either way, the blokes been smoking for some 40 years, has diabetes and heart-disease, so he's not doing himself a favour staying on the analogs. Given his history, my chances are already increased so I could just as easily be in his boat if I keep on smoking. I've tried all sorts of ways of quitting, including the prescribed tablets from a doctor, but while effective in helping me stop smoking for a good 4 months, they had a massive effect on me mentally. I wish I could just flick the smoker/non-smoker switch in my brain but it doesn't work like that. Besides, I was looking for a hobby like this (i love tinkering).

Anyway, with all the other success stories I've read so far here's to vaping hey! Cheers.

Welcome to the dark side. Good luck getting your old man of the smokes. Let us know how you fare on that one. Yes apart from satisfying the nic addiction its also a good hobby if you like tinkering. My wife tolerates it as it keeps me in the shed, so all is good!! Have fun.

welcome nuclear im in the same space as you working on getting my grandfather onto vapeing (with some help from dad he is doing extra leg work as i dont live close enough) gd hs smoked for well on 40+ and he isnt overly modern tech savy so hopefully he will give it a go

It can become a quite expensive hobby if you're not careful.
