    Hi guys,

I am 30 and quit smoking analogs 4 days ago... yay! Anyway, I bought a disposable e cig and found it incredibly helpful in conjunction with nicotine patches, so I decided to buy a refillable.

I bought a cheap one ($30) from my local tobacconist and I think I got screwed, be.comse it didn't work, and when I went to exchange it I was told by the salesperson (not the one who initially sold it to me) that it was a very old model.

Anyway, after getting it exchanged for one that did work, I still wasn't really satisfied. The taste was bland and there wasn't as much vapour as I would have liked. I thought this could be due to it being such a cheap piece of equipment, so I upgraded yesterday and bought a Nexxt e cig for $75 (rrp $99).

I've been using it for 24 hours now, and although it is performing a lot better, I'm still a little disappointed by a few things. I've come to the conclusion that being a noob, I've probably made some typical noob mistakes (despite doing a fair amount of research on the subject of vaping), so I've joined up here!

    My questions are as follows:

    1) is the lack of a 'throat hit' due to no nicotine?

    2) is my level of vapour and flavour output typical of all similar e cig models?

    3) if the equipment isn't at .comlt, should I recalibrate my expectations?

Also, the Nexxt came with a charging case, but it only charges when plugged into a power supply... I was under the impression it was an independent power source once fully charged, but perhaps I am wrong.

I'd really appreciate some guidance, as I feel sure that these hiccups are due to my inexperience, and I'm still sold on the idea of vaping!

    Thanks in advance!

No throat hit is 100% due to no nicotine, it makes a big difference.

    Thanks, I thought so. :)

Can I get nicotine cartomizers that are compatible for my Nexxt or have I just thrown away $75?

If you include your location in your profile someone might be able to direct you to a vape shop near-by.

Mate, the bad news is you have blown $75, good news is you have found this forum. Put your location in your profile, there may be someone close that can help or a reputable vendor near you that we can steer you to

The problem with buying from a tobacconist is they really dont want you to quit other wise they would be out of buisness.

Very true! Unfortunately as I'm in regional Victoria, there isn't a local vape shop.
