rebuilding the Kanger T3

Hey guys!

wondering if anyone has tried rebuilding their T3 Heads?

If so whats the set up you guys are making?

I tried a few times and i keep getting a burned rubber taste.

Not sure but may be the same problem that I had with one of the 'Stardust' (I think) tanks..

With the tank I had to rebuild - the resistance wire had to be wedged between the center post and the negative outer wall - with the insulator being some type of silicone (hopefully) or rubber grommet. For me the resistance wire was heating this insulator to create a burnt rubber taste, NR wire at the connection points helped to stop this.

 

thats what i was thinking it was as well with the wire and rubber gromit.
