Tips in getting hydrated

    I need flavor in my drinks, but I want to avoid the sugar of soda or fruit juices. My solution has been to buy organic lemon juice that comes in the glass bottles. I add about 2 tablespoons to a glass of water. The flavor is great and I avoid the sugar.

    I just try to keep a glass of water nearby whenever I vape. That's how I prevent having a dry mouth and sores.

    This. A good, refreshing, cold glass of water after vaping. Nothing better. Also don't drink sugary drinks to get hydrated.

    The only real way to stay hydrated is to drink water throughout the day. Stay away from alcoholic drinks, soda and stuff like that and stick to water. You should be drinking a lot of water each day anyways as it is healthier and less fattening. Water weight is easy to get off, weight from junk drinks is not.

    This is the best option, people don't keep them well hydrated because they don't carry liquids with them. If they did they probably would feel better.

    Well, if your main objective is to be hydrated all the time, all you gotta do is drink a lot of water like all the time, every single time that you remember the word 'hydrate' you should go drink a water cup, you could try that technique as many times as you want and you will never miss a glass of water, try it.

    It really is that simple to just drink water. It is the purest form of beverage you can drink. It is also wise to avoid too much caffeine. Caffeine can be a diuretic and cause you to urinate more often, leading to dehydration. You can't go wrong with just plain water.

    That is definitely what I mean, you should drink a glass of water everytime you want to, you can pick a keyword and drink water every time you remember it or something like that, it is really that simple.

    All this stuff about avoiding sugar...I'm pretty damn lean and eat 80-90% carbs every day, that stuff about avoiding sugar is a lie if you get most of your sugar calories from fruit and don't go like 30%+ fat every day. Other than water, fruit is my premium hydration source.

    I also can't understand how some people dislike the taste of plain bottled water, as that it has been the taste of water all along, the taste we've been used to since we were born.

    Drinking plain water, can actually dehydrate you even more, based on what kind of minerals, vitamins, and macro-nutrients you have stored in your body over the last couple of hour, you might actually find yourself into the situation of eliminating more water than you drink if there isn't anything in your body the create the water retention.

    Yeah, like most people in this thread I agree with water. Just plain filtered water. If I want to mix it up I'll go for a Propel, but then I tend to need to use the bathroom more often when I drink one of those.

    When it comes to hydration, I think a lot of people tend to think it's just from liquids that your body gets fluids, when it's from the food that we eat also of course.

    Fruit especially will help to re-hydrate the body, so if water isn't your thing, then maybe look at fruit and veg to keep yourself hydrated aswell.

    Good point there, actually there have been times where I found myself feeling dehydrated and I would've simply ate 1 orange and/or one apple, after that, I would've find myself more hydrated and had a general well being state, than the water could've ever offer me. Also, fruits helps you stay hydrated with their vitamins, as your body can't simply retain water without having some nutrients in it.

    "if water isn't your thing" lol, so true but so wrong that people think like this. Like theeee number one most important part of my health was just drinking more water, its like magic superliquid and we don't even know where it came from but we are it and it's all over this damn rock

    You are a unicorn. The sugar thing isn't BS because you are the exception. Eating a lot of carbs causes insulin spikes in your body. Insulin clears out the sugar in your bloodstream, which causes the drop in blood sugar. This is what causes food cravings. Excess sugar in the body gets converted to fat by the liver. This is basic science that says excess sugar is bad. Sugar from fruit is better due to the fiber that comes with the sugar. Unfortunately, the sugar in fruit comes primarily in the form of fructose. Fructose sucks because it gets processed differently by the liver. Excess fructose in the liver causes a buildup of fat droplets, leading to nonalcoholic fatty liver disease. High fructose corn syrup found in most sodas and juices blunts leptin response in the stomach. Leptin is a hormone that signals to your brain that you are full.

    Haha, you know what I'm trying to say though. Offer somebody a glass of water or an orange if they're thirsty, some look at you as if you've gone mad and will crack open a can of Pepsi instead. All that does though is quench their thirst, but that's different from re-hydrating the body.
