82% of electronic cigarette users are ex-smokers

It makes sense, it really does. I'm sure the other 12% aren't heavy users and are just getting a good nicotine buzz off of a small MG count. I personally don't even get the nicotine buzz anymore, haven't in year. I did again when I first started vaping, but I think it's cause the nicotine is more pure. Anyway, an interesting article and an interesting read so I thought I would share it with you guys! Happy vaping!

 

Myself included. And that's no surprise whatsoever. The whole vaping thing is being marketed as "quit smoking".

Well, I see vaping as a way to lightly replace the cigarette, even when it's not as dangerous as cigarettes it is still smoking but lightier, a good option for those who like smoking but dont wanna cause more damage to themselves.

In this one, pure vapers outnumber the ex-smokers turned vapers. In Britain, there are 2.6 million people who vape, 1.5 of which are pure vapers who didn't even smoked before. And the remaining are of course the ex-smokers who turned to vaping to quit smoking.

It baffles me though that there were more pure vapers than smokers turned vapers. I wouldn't have imagined this statistics. Although of course, it's good enough for me that people choose vaping instead of smoking, since that's healthier anyway.

Too bad I cannot find statistics like this for my country...

 

The statistics seem pretty logical. It's marketed as a way to stop smoking. At least the original E-cigs were. Now it seems to be marketed as something fun to younger people. I have friends that never smoked that are now vaping regularly, which seems pretty interesting to me. Some of these friends would speak in disgust of me and other friends that used to smoke cigarettes.

 

Very good. The more people who switch from smoking, the better. That way they can live much more healthier lives and not worry about the diseases and chemicals found in those joints which can lead to early deaths and cancers. I like it!

 

That's good! Personally, I think everyone who vaoes should do so in an attempt to quit smoking. But, then again... I can't tell people what to do and I'd rather them vape than actually smoke.

 

Well, I feel it's a better alternative, though there's research still going on, it sure is better than cigarettes.

 

I know, right? This country seemes pretty concerned with demonizing vaping as opposed to finding out who it's benefiting. Those stats from GB are pretty much blowing my mind right now, though. 1.5 million who didn't vape before? nuts!

 

Yes. E-cigarettes are mostly known for succesfully helping smokers to withdraw cigarettes. And I think they are as effective as nicotine patches. I expect this tendency to grow exponentially, in a way as such that current society will change its prejudice towards vaping and recognize the benefit of something that don't harshly destroy your health as cigarettes do .
