When you mix juice, what are you typically aiming for? Other than not having the flavor turn to the kid-with-watercolor equivalent of generic brown, why do you mix? Are there specific things you have in mind when you try mixing, or do you just have so much spare juice it's become a side hobby? :)

I haven't tried making my own liquids now, but I would certainly try to make 2 liquids with the same taste - one very strong and other one very weak, so I can vape stronger or weaker fluid depending on my mood. :)

I like the kid with watercolor image...that takes me back. It certainly applies to because that is often what we seem to get. I guess I just try and go with the strongest with a little taste to it. It is kind of hard to describe, and I have really not found any great combinations yet, but I will keep trying until I get one.

I have been toying with the idea of mixing my own juice because it sounds really interesting. From my perspective people mix because they want to customize their own flavours. I guess they want to be chefs in that sense, cooking up their own recipe that caters to their preferences.
I have not done it yet because I am still in love with the basic flavours like cola and mango, but after a year or so I will probably be bored to death of them and want to create my own mixes.
I remember someone posting something about strawberry milkshake flavour, now that sounded delicious.

Yeah, but the problem with mixing is that the stakes are kind of high when you mess up. Unless you can really afford to do some testing or you have the sort of equipment to test small batches first, you can really end up ruining everything you have an instant.

True in some cases, in my case, the flavour is really affordable and I can see myself doing it. I also think people do not mix everything at once, they make small sample sizes in case they end up with duds. You do not really need expensive equipment too, I already have a food scale for example, and little measuring bottles too.

The problem with mixing small batches is that if you continuously do it and test it, a relatively high percentage of what you make ends up wasted when it doesn't work out. It's all about the percentages. If you make mixes on a small scale, you can get a few good results definitely, but between the amount of time that it takes and the steep learning curve for making flavors that pop out, there are a ton of ways to waste high percentages of what you have, which always translates to money. The better the juice the more you lose.

Yes, I agree with you. Testing and finding the best combination as a mixed juice is a really expensive task. You need to have some knowledge of chemistry and you need various equipment to test them.

I am aiming to good taste with a little bit of throat hit but not too much since I vape with high wattage. In addition it should be cheap to mix. It surely takes time to find the best mixture.
