Women don't vape.

I know there are some women on this forum that vape, but I haven't seen any women vaping in my day to day life, is it because of the format or is it just not an attractive notion to vape.

 

I vape in public daily and I love it. I think it's far more attractive than smoking.

 

Have you seen other women vaping or am I just not looking in the right direction. I really do get the impression that it's not as popular with women but I don't understand why.

 

I vape all of the time in public. I am the one that stands outside of the store still and vapes a few times, especially before a dreaded trip to Walmart. I only vape inside of my house or at a friends house if they are OK with it of course because while I think it's an excellent alternative, I don't think it needs to be done in stores, especially with the different scents and what not. I know it took me a while to finally make the leap because I thought I would look "weird" but more and more women seem to be joining the vape train. I love it.

Yes I saw that study very interesting, I find it strange that I still haven't seen any women vaping. Either they aren't vaping openly or I'm just missing something.

I see many women vaping at the store I work after store hours. There are women out in the world that do vape, its just a matter of finding them! They are usually lurking in the shadows haha!

 

It probably just depends on where you go, of course, just like anything. I used to think that women didn't drink, but then I found out that the hole in the wall, dump of a bar that we were going to was actually not as cool as we all thought it was. Man, it sure was cheap though. I think that there is good ratio against women from what I have seen, but they are out there, you just might have to look a little bit harder.

 

while I as a woman do not vape ( due to the lack of money) i know many women who vape, one of which is a manager in a vape shop.

 

You know I don't see many women do it in public as I do men.
But I do see plenty of girls vaping whenever I go to a house party.
Perhaps the ladies don't feel as comfortable doing it in public?

 

Thank you for your responses, looks like the hunt is on. I will not stop until I find the enigmatic women vaperer outside this forum. I'll start at the vape shop there is a coffee shop nearby, when I have some free time I will spend a little extra time there.

 

I think it comes down to the fact that a lot of younger males see vaping as the new "cool" thing, like smoking cigarettes once was. They try to do it constantly in public just to get other people to notice. I don't know any women who are like that, though. Women smoke it just like they would a cigarette, without trying to get attention for it.

 

I see women vaping all the time. In fact most of the people I know that vape are females. The whole reason I decided to try vaping was because my friend who is also female vapes. I do think like the post above me that a lot of people are doing it to be cool which I find ridiculous so yeah they may show it off more. I don't really think though that there a lot less women vaping though.

 

Most of the people I know that vape are women. They seem to be more health conscious, and the anti-smoking movement got to them first I think. With that said, there are definitely more male vapers in general from what I can tell, but I think there might be more male smokers too. I have no clue to be perfectly honest with ya, but just goes to show there are definitely lady vapers.

 

Yeah I agree, it could be in the area he lives. I was in a vape store a few days ago and it was just us girls in there, they even had cute mods for us. Although I do not like the popular hot pink. I got my friend one as a gift and she loved it/

 

I think your right. There are far less smokers and many didn't start vaping, they simply stopped smoking. I think most women aren't flaunting it like men do like @AboveTheSmoke pointed out.

 

Hmmm... That's a great point. I actually haven't seen any woman vape in public except me and my friend. Whenever I go out, I would see a few vapers but they're usually men. I cannot recall a time that I've seen a woman vaping. I guess it's still a new concept especially in my country. Like I said, it's very rare to even see someone vaping, let alone a woman. Or maybe they're just too conscious to even vape in public at all. But I don't see why, it's definitely healthier and better than smoking cigarettes. That being said, I have seen quite a lot of women smoking cigarettes in public. So what's the catch?

 

Now that you mention smoking cigarettes, to think of it, I have not seen one woman smoke here in the city I live in 2016. I live in China, and most of the guys smoke, but it is generally frowned upon for girls. In a few weeks, there will be a vaping convention in Shenzhen, China and I am excited to meet more girl vapers.

 

Here in the UK without knowing the official figures I'd say in the amount of people that vape, its split about 70/30 in favour of males.

Smoking cigarettes is still a pretty big thing over here,,despite the warnings and the price increases, and I'd say that's probably split 50/50, as a lot of women do still smoke.

 

In my social circle it does seem to be true, some of my guy-friends vape but I don't know a single girl who does.
