E-cigarettes are much safer

Well no, your probably right and it isn't a conspiracy theory at all because I'm sure that our governments have a long history of not doing something for the good of the people, I was just trying to be diplomatic, haha!

Regarding your comment on the pictures on cigarette packets, here in the UK it is now law that those types of pictures have to be displayed, but I'm not entirely sure how effective they are at putting people off smoking.

 

Hahaha! At least you're being diplomatic, some other governments of countries won't! Lol. Anyway, I read before that those pictures are quite effective in making the smokers feel at least some fear when they're smoking. It's much like showing the pictures of people who have used illegal fireworks and has some injuries gotten or wounds or worse, got parts of them...well, removed. That tactic works sometimes. And I just wish they at least implement or pass that law because who knows if some smoker can actually quit because of it.

 

While I agree that even if displaying the pictures helps just one person to quit, potentially saving their life then it is worth doing, but in my experience if people want to smoke, then they will do.

People know about the dangers, so the pictures are just showing smokers what they already know and what they've chosen to ignore, by choice or by addiction, in the past.

 

According to most research, they are much safer in terms of harm caused to a passive smoker. It's exact and official. There is no smoke coming out. However, active smokers (vapers in our case) still risk, as they use the same substance - nicotine.

Personally, I prefer vaping over smoking. I'm so glad not to cause any harm to my non-smoker friends. I had been feeling guilty for them at some point of my life.

 

The whole thing about e-cigarette's is a poor attempt by the media and everyone else that is against vaping. Maybe if the user of the e-cigarette used common sense and became knowledgeable about what vaping is and entailed, maybe they wouldn't have had their e-cigarette explode. People just want to go and throw their batteries in their pocket or purse without putting the batteries in a case and then the batteries come in contact with metal objects such as coins, keys, etc. And I guarantee that with any of these cases that have been hyped up by the media, not one of them mentioned anything about the user not properly storing their batteries. I'm sure the user wouldn't even admit to it. It's just a bunch of nit picking and a poor ploy to make the vaping community look bad.

 

There does seem to be an agenda at the moment to try and stop people from switching to vaping, and even though the health benefits are clear to see, the media are pushing the anti campaign.

It does make you wonder who's behind all this, if it's not too plain to see!

 

It is always about the money. Until the government can wrap it's claws around the whole vaping industry this is the type of stuff that will continue to happen.

 

Unfortunately I think that time will be coming sooner than we think aswell. While the boom in vaping as obviously been good for the industry, it's at the same time drawn attention from the government and they've quickly seen its another source of income for them.

 

Taxes are like broke people asking to borrow money, except it's politicians that waste money, that need more money, that have the power to just force you to give it to them. It's pretty hilarious, lol. I get that taxes need to exist, but it's such a joke at this point, like where does my money even really go...

 

Yes, E-cigarettes are much safer than the traditional ones. People always have the tendency to throw the matchstick or misplaced the lighter which results in many fire related incidents. This is not a problem while e smoking. But in our place E-cigarettes are not at all common. They are still unknown to majority of the people here.

 

I totally agree. E-cigarettes are way safer because it only allows us to inhale and exhale vapor, not smoke. For those who want to quit smoking, they may switch to vaping. With vaping, they may reduce levels of nicotine content until dosage is reached, at which it does not produce and sustain addiction. There is no debate needed that vaping is safer.

 

E-Cigarettes are much, much safer for your health, especially since they don't pack much risk for heart cancer and other chemicals found in regular cigarettes like you said. You do have to becareful of overheating and what not from the E-Cigarettes, but that is easy to control and to avoid.

 

The thing is, e-cigs are so much safer for so many reasons...any time someone talks about the health risks of vaping, I'm like "so, you eat a cheeseburger today?" There is so much nonsense swirling around peoples mind on this subject that its maddening. Any attempts to reason with them are usually met with stereotypical criticism

 

The anti-tobacco witch hunt has had a very strong effect, it has spilled over to vaping. So most people don't see how much healthier it is, they just see someone vaping in the same way they would a smoker.

 

I don't think there is any argument which one is safer. Burning that paper has to be far worse. Inhaling anything into your lungs is probably not very good for you, but there is clearly one type that is worse than the other.

 

I completely forgot about the burning hazard. How many wildfires have been started by someone flicking there cigarette out the window. That risk doesn't really exist with e-cigs. I would imagine some of them can malfunction, but it's pretty rare.

 

I remember listening to a podcast where they were talking about spontaneous human combustion. They believe one of the main causes is someone falling asleep with a lit cigarette and then there clothing catching on fire. It is some scary stuff.

 

Well said, I will be using these statistics to show my smoking friends and hopefully make them quit smoking. These are some of the reasons why I'm a proud vaper.

 

I personally think that e-cigs are way safer than anything that could be smoked because it does not use any kind of fire to light it up or anything like that, it is also ecologic since you somwhoe do not damage the enviroment at all.

 

They might not change immediately, but just putting the idea in their heads is already a good thing. Most people don't know what it is and associate all a number of different things to it.
