So I have always had a little theory when it comes to smoking and vaping and all of those things that are wrapped up in this whole issue, and that is that there is something to the burn that we get from inhaling that contributes to the addictive quality of tobacco products. I cannot describe it that well, but I think that most people will know what I am talking about.

Anyways, how did this play in your experience with smoking and/or vaping?

I know that it was my hurdle to beat when it came to finally quitting smoking. The burn from vaping just is not the same, and that was something that I had to adapt to.

I was just curious to see if anyone else had an issue with this.

Well, I don't think that I need to remember 'the burn' . I don't miss it at all. I have left cigars and I have experienced a lot of health benefits since I quit smoking. In my opinion, vaping is more interesting than cigars.

At first, I was missing that. However, as the time went on and on, I lost that feeling and now I'm used to the whole vaping thing.

I think that it's something you get used to after a while. I did like the burn but now that I look back at it I think it was just a way of my body telling me that I was taking in nicotine.

The "burn" for me is most probably the "throat hit" that I get from smoking. I will say that the throat hit from vaping isn't the same with smoking. Actually, it just doesn't compare. But really... The health benefits of vaping as compared to smoking is enough for me to be satisfied with vaping. Although the "throat hit" isn't the same, especially without nicotine, whenever I think about the good that I'm doing for my body, I'm fine with it.

Even when I started with vaping with nicotine, I did experience some throat hit although it wasn't even half of the throat hit from smoking cigarettes. I tried increasing the nicotine in my juice, it satisfied me a bit although I found myself getting more puffs than usual just so I can compensate. It worked enough for me though since after a few weeks, I've given up smoking cigarettes completely.

Now, I don't vape with nicotine anymore. There really is not throat hit or burn, but the flavours are amazing, lol.

Actually, I noticed the lack of the "burn" when I first started vaping. I didn't know how to express what was missing until I stumbled upon a forum that talked about it. Once I figured out that it was a combination of PG and nicotine that contributed to it, I messed around with different levels of both until I found my happy throat hit place.

The "burn" sensation has been something that I have considered myself addicted to when I was a smoker. Ever since switching to vaping I noticed that I can get a bit of a "burn" if I find the right nicotine juice.

That is definitely one of the biggest differences. It is a whole different thing to take a puff from a piece of plastic than a paper cigarette. All smokers know exactly where you are coming from. it is something I still miss a little, but you do get used to the vaporizer after a while.

I personally think that if i leave something then why shall I remember it or still like it, if that wasthe case I would definitely not leave it if I still like it, it's relative, you stop doing something, leave it behind and move on, my opinion is that no, I have noreasons to miss 'the burn'

The burn feeling is something I completely dislike. If I get a harsh burning feeling from my vape I'll turn the power down. I think for cigarettes that burning feeling, and constant throat infections are what caused me to quit.

You can't be more right! It was the same in my situation, in fact I believe that that burn is highly related to nicotine hitting your brain, that way you knew you got your dose of nicotine and you can be happy again for a few minutes. When I made the switch, I find it pretty hard to realize that I'm inhaling something, without that burn feeling on my throat, lots of smokers won't make the switch because "they simply don't feel the burn" when vaping.
